Five AM continue their excellent return to the scene with another amazing release. Every so often a record arrives that send shivers down your spine when listened to. For me, this is one of them records. Read on..
Original Mix: Altitude aka Steve Gibbs has a habit of returning with great tracks when you thought there couldn’t be anything left there! The build up is minimal yet powerful with great sounds and tight percussion. As the break arrives, the true glory of this track is shown with the amazing lead melody and the beautiful haunting vocal sounds. A simple arrangement in the lead but it hits such a powerful punch. The kick and bass return pretty quick and the track just paces along brilliantly. A very well made uplifting trance track at its best.
Airwave Remix: Very few producers can take such a good track, stamp their unique sound on it and make it better. Airwave IS one of those producers. On my first listen to the remix, I was totally gobsmacked! Airwave is back doing what he does best and producing a massive uplifting track. I have played this in every set for the past month to unbelievable responses! The heavy kick starts the track off in true Airwave style with the percussion growing around it. Soon the bassline is introduced and the track is away!! From here on in it just grows and grows using snippits of the haunting vocal whilst synths slowly fade in to maximum effect. The unmistakeable Airwave kick roll leads into the break where for a few seconds everything drops. The lead melody is then introduced with the pads and vocal. This is where the track is at its best. The sheer power in the break is indescribable. The bare kick is then thrown back in to the best effect possible. As the rest of the percussion and bassline returns, the tune is just away on an amazing journey. Where most tracks give-up and drop back, this one keeps on going for one feels like an eternity. When it eventually does end it is so disappointing that such a great tune is coming to an end.
Conclusion:
As you may gather, I really love this tune. My #1 for a few weeks, it is simply breathtaking. A fantastic release by Five AM which firmly plants them back on the map in a BIG way!
