Its time to Hardcore Salsa again, this time with Spinnin' Records who have snapped up some rather storming remixes of this track. Read on...
:: Robert Natus & Arkus P. - Hardcore Salsa (Remixes) :: Spinnin' Records :: SPR007
A: Hardcore Salsa (Alegria Remix) From the very first beat and hit of percussion, you can sense the salsa-type feel of the track. A soft and rounded kick embedded on a thick layer of wispy percussion and a bouncy bassline dish out the flavour and carry the track well. More carnival-esque elements are brought in as the track goes on until you hit the breakdown. This is where the vocals come in, which due to their nature and the nature of the track are adequate enough. The sections to come mix and match the latino vocals and instruments until after a second breakdown, where the track makes its way out to a gentle close. Club house at its clubbi-most housiest.
B1: Hardcore Salsa (Peetu-s Techno Mix) When you start this track, you immediately notice the extra pace and the extra strength contained in the punchy kick. Extra percussion helps the beat as its given more strength and a dark and gritty bassline begins to swell up in the background. You ain't seen nothin' yet. Theres a small breakdown where the bass groans and swirls and then the track just simply erupts into a fierce and grinding mass of bass and beats! Its incredible, dancefloors will (and do!) go mad - I happened to drop this one a few weeks ago and the owner of the place came up, pointed to the record, said "That's a dirty beat." and danced off! Theres just stacks of power dished out by the dirty yet inspiringly groovy bassline. Top this off with the splash of treble rich techno-style percussion and you have one monster tune, courtesy of Peetu-s. You need this track.
Conclusion:
The remix by Alegria is house through and through and will appeal to house-junkies only. The absolutely incredible remix by Peetu-s is aimed more or less at the techno crowd but will be easily welcomed by the harder trancers out there and fits in excellently. Banging stuff!
