 This is the first in our bi-monthly checkins with the man known as Shack or as the world loves to call him, Elite Force. Find out what he is up to!
Elite Force is an enigma these days in the breakbeat community and usually you will find him gardening, when he is not deejaying or making music. Simply known as Shack to the world, he is a very busy man these days and since he is so busy and does not have time to write a diary, we decided that we would check in with him, bi-monthly to keep you uptodate on what's new in his world.
Releases
First of all, to all those who keep asking about Peyote Road in emails to various crew members, it is out on Kingsize now, the flipside is called White Lightening and it is proper dirtyness according to some members of the breakbeat community. After Christmas (which happens in exactly 43 days, get your shopping done early people!), he will release a double pack on Lot 49. The pack will include his originals of 'Reclaim the Airwaves' and 'Pure & Free' and will feature excellent remixes from Dylan Rhymes and PMT (one of ivibes.nu's fave breakbeat remixers).
Gigs
Gig wise, Shack is collecting more airmiles these days, he went out to the far east and we are not talking Eastern Europe here. He went to the Orient to play gigs in Japan, China and Hong Kong. There were 3000 in Hong Kong for the party with Shack, Meat Katie, JDS, Lee Coombs & Basement Jaxx and who knew Breaks were so big in Hong Kong?. He has been gigging a lot recently and he is looking forward to a quiet month with only a couple of London shows & one in Brighton.
Radio
You can catch him every single Thursday on BreaksFm, playing dirty beats and spouting off crazy nonsense on the mic. Check www.breaksfm.com for the time in your area!
He forgot to mention that his close friend and sometimes studio partner Mark Pember (better known as Meat Katie) will be playing on the Essential Mix on November 14/2004 on Radio 1 (www.bbc.co.uk/radio1).
