MM records bring out an ep by a very talented producer Ortin Cam - This is definatly one for the more chilled out of you but it still has that kick to get you shaking ..
With Funky beats and twisted basslines this is definatly an EP for the funkier side.
A1 . Tropik Fever - This kicks right off with drums that roll along with a very tribally feel and claps that compliment them well. The hats come in bit by bit and you can really start to feel your self going with the flow to this tune by the time the bass rolls in and out for that split second and then rim hits kick in. The beats and hats kick out as the bass kicks in then they swap again as a synth gentle climbs to the front of everything before taking over in a break with steel drums and rim hits a plenty. Its a very basic tune but its definatly one for the more progressive and tribally people out there.
B1. La Haine - This one kick in with a harder drum beat than on the A side while still keeping that tribal feel it also as a bit of breaks with underlying synth hits poping up here and there as everything heads a little top end heavy for a while before a very ambient airy break and a rolling synth that then kicks the tune back in. Again this is a very basic tune but for those that like their breaks and progressive beats it will definatly compliment the sets.
B2. Twisted punk - Hard beats again with this and crashes all over the place. Rolling along nicely like a train this tune has a lovely bass that drives in through the first part of the tune while staying underlying and letting the beats do the talking. With a break beat style breakdown and a nice flowing atmospheric synth running through while the bass is still there in the background holding it all together. The end is very much like the start with a few more sounds mixed in to spice it up.
Conclusion:
My favorite has to be " La Haine" but all of these tunes compliment my funkier sets well and they defiantly get people grooving on the dancefloors wether warm up or mid night set
