© Artist OwnIan Betts is busy redoing his studio and preparing for a huge night alongside JooF and Marco V in December among other things, find out what Ian is up to!

Well lots has been happening for Ian since the last update was sent out, so we though it was about time we kept you abreast of the latest! 2004 has been a great year for Ian, and as it starts to draw to a close things are still really busy, and there is already lots more planned for 2005.

On the DJing side of things Ian has gigs all the way between now and New Years Eve (and beyond!). With his exclusive residency at HeatUK, Ian has just come back from taking part in the club's marathon "48 Hours in Amsterdam". With a night at HQ's 6500 people 'HQXL' party in docklands plus HeatUK's very own pre-party at Club Zyon on the Saturday afternoon, this trip saw HeatUK taking over the Dutch capital for a weekend's worth of party fuelled madness.

Following on from their return, Ian and HeatUK will be back at Pacha on November 18th for the Amsterdam Reunion Party, with a real 'party' line-up ready to rock the former home of the legendary Sunny Side Up - alongside Ian in the main room will be the mighty Steve Hill (flying in from Australia for the gig), a classic b2b from Phil Reynolds & Spencer Freeland, plus Brad Thatcher and Mike Walsh, or for those who like it funkier you can catch Phil Noda, Si 125, Claude Lyons b2b Tom Charles and Nathan Larkin in the
Starf*cker room.

On December 11th HeatUK proudly returns to the former Camden Palace, now refurbished and re-opened as the Koko Club. This has already become one of the most eagerly anticipated nights this side of NYE despite having only been announced a few days ago. With the full line-up to be announced shortly, tickets are already being snapped up at an amazing rate. With the HeatUK DJs and special guests in the main room, and Starf*cker doing their thing in the 2nd room, the night will herald a triumphant return for one of London's most revered and atmospheric venues.

And if that wasn't enough, HeatUK will be joining forces with the biggest weekly club night in London 'The Gallery' to host the only New Years Eve party worth being at to see in 2005! Back at the Brixton Academy for the 3rd year running, this years NYE party will be the bigger and better than before - with Gallery DJs Fergie, Tall Paul, Eddie Halliwell and Gavyn Mytchel alongside HeatUK's very own Ian Betts, Marc French and K90 in the
main room, plus Nick Sentience, Justin Bourne, Spencer Freeland and Tara Reynolds amongst others, this promises to be the night to set the standard for a whole new year of parties. Early bird tickets have already sold out, so get your tickets quickly while you still can!

For more details of all Heat events and DJs, go to www.heatuk.info.

In between all of the Heat madness, one of London's longest running and consistently great promotions, Twisted, is putting on their Xmas Party, and even though there's barely been time to recover from their huge 6th birthday party, there is already a huge buzz over the appearance of Marco V and John 00 Fleming at the Fridge on Saturday 4th December. Ian will be starring beside these two titans of trance in the main room to complete what for many is one of the line-ups of the year!

Away from DJing, Ian has recently been in the process of upgrading his studio and after a busy few months of remix work Ian has started working on new material of his own as well as new projects with the likes of Matt Williams, Marc French, Technikal and Adam White.

Those who have been reading the dance music magazines will have seen Ian's 'Night Rider' track (released on Audiojelly.com under his Six Thirty guise) getting 5 out of 5 on the trance reviews page in IDJ Magazine, being hailed as a "superb debut" by Tom Harding whilst being supported by the likes of Graham Gold on Kiss FM, Gavin Mitchell (it was voted Number 1 in the Gallery dancefloor chart on his Ministry of Sound radio show) and whole host of others.

Following on from 'Night Rider', Ian's remix of Zirenz's 'Tears Of An Angel' was recently made the Recommended Trance Tune of the Month in IDJ Magazine, and has been heavily supported by Graham Gold on Kiss FM, Scott Bond, Guy Ornadel, Adam White, Gavyn Mytchel, Simon Patterson, Jon O'Bir and Les Hemstock amongst others.

Ian has also recently completed a remix of the classic 'Liberation (Fly Like An Angel)' for legendary trance producer Matt Darey that has been getting great reactions from an initial promo CDR mailout through Matt's new label Darey Productions.

Ian's latest release will be his collaboration with Oceanforce called 'Polarise' which is due out on Elevation Records in January and features a remix from one of trance's hotest talents at the moment, Factoria. Watch out for promos at the end of December.

And finally, Love Resurrection was officially given a global release last week! Released on the newly formed Masif label and featuring a huge Guyver engineered remix from Steve Hill, the tune is available at your leading local dance music emporium or via on-line stores such as Juno Records, Chemical Records, Pure Groove and Banging Tunes.

Ian would like to thank everyone who has supported him in 2004, from the clubbers on the dancefloor to the promoters, agencies, labels and DJs who have helped make this year one to remember. With lots to already lookforward to in the coming year, including trips to Australia, Asia, South Africa and Ibiza, studio time planned with some of the scene's biggest names, a busy release schedule of new productions and headline gigs at some of the highest profile promotions in the UK, 2005 is set to be even bigger
and better!
