Things are really hotting up here at Redemption HQ with our artists getting severe radio play, tv appearences and a sheer multitude of forthcoming releases to tickle your tastebuds
Hello there,
Here is the latest update from Redemption HQ, things are really hotting up here...
BARRY DISTON'S ROCK N ROLLIN IT!
Rocking news here at Redemption HQ is that Barry Diston (one of our main producers) and his Drugs Rock N Roll track is not only featuring on Lisa Lashes' new compilation but is the first track on Lisa Pin Up's new CD, we think it is definitely the perfect opening track to give you that 'HAVE SOME OF THAT!!!' feel. Barry is also living up the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle with a TV appearence in the advert for the Lashes compilation, watch out for the shy retiring blonde in the background, probably mouthing "ave it!".
PIN UP RECORDINGS NEWS
Lisa's Party Tonight (the first release for Pin Up recordings) also has had a review in Mixmag. The review says:
One for the hard heads here. Mixmag fave Lisa Pin-Up has put her Rock Hard Recordings label on hold and started a new one called Pin-Up Recordings funnily enough. This time all the tracks will be her own but don't think that this stomper is all about the traditional bounce we've come to know her for. Party Tonight is full on 150bmp madness so whatever you do, don't jam this on at your Granny's 60th.
....We hope you agree with us in that this is only the beginning! Redemption Distribution is the worldwide exclusive distributor for this label.
JS TEN WORLD EXCLUSIVE
We are very pleased to announce that on Saturday, local hero Paul Kershaw gave JS Ten's as yet untitled track a play on Galaxy FM, even more he is the only person in the UK with a copy and loves it to bits. If you actually heard the show you will have heard many people text in to say how wicked they thought the track was. This is monster trance that will definitely blow your brains out... We love it to bits! The buzz on this one will continue to build.
OFF YER ROCKER TEARING UP THE PLACE!
Following on from a recent DJ mail out to some of the UK tastemaker jocks here at Redemption HQ the reactions on this track have been amazing. With Tom Harding, DJ Choose, Scott Mac, Jon The Baptist, Danny Slade, Mark Sherry, Nick The Kid, Tom Costelloe, Tim Stark, Sol Ray, Dave Rees, Ben Eye, Damien James, Dr J and Richard Young all receiving copies. So far we've had Danny Slade calling the track "A Big Ass Anthemic Monster" and Dave Rees playing it on his radio show 'Connected' on Ram Air FM, more reactions to follow.
COSMIC FREEFALL PULLED
Due to the nature of the above mashup, certain (what we consider short sighted) people in Germany have forced the cancellation of the release of this massive tune. Judge Jules has already entered his fourth week of play on this track. The Redemption phones are ringing off the hook with big DJs trying to get copies, we're talking about DJs from a wide range of genres, some have surprised us in requesting this, such is its crossover appeal. We want everybody to e-mail us (at Cosmicfreefall@redemption.co.uk) with their request to force the Germans to release this record, we will then forward the mails en masse to the relevant label. I mean listen to how good this track is: http://www.ivibesmedia.com/mp3/COSMICFR-3.mp3
12 WEEKS OF RADIO 1 PLAY
Believe you me, we are not getting bored of this, but we have reached a historic 12 weeks in a row on national BBC Radio 1, possibly the biggest radio station in the world on Dance Shows across the whole weekend, we happily accept that after years of releasing increasingly better dance music, we have become a stable part of the most influential dance scene in the world. Gwan Dave, roll another phat one and while you're at it watch out for Judge Jules he's faster than a speeding powerboat!!! The tracks that have been played this weekend alone are INSPIRED NT 2 and Van Faber + D-Suza - "Overflow".
REVENGE OF BARRY
After a couple of months of not being right at the forefront of UK hard dance, Barry Diston has come slam back, with two of the biggest things in clubs this weekend. They are Fidget Hard 8 (Roll On One) and Fidget 9 (The One), we urge all customers and fans to double check MP3s of these two tunes very loudly through their soundsystems, as we are sure these tracks will rock your hard dance world. As per normal we at Redemption Distribution are a couple of steps ahead of the crowd, and we expect the larger DJs to start picking up on these tracks within the next few weeks. So get the jump on then and get your copies ordered now.
REVENGE OF M-ZONE
Rave 9 and Rave 11 debuted this week, Redemptions MD Bhaskar Dandona in a semi drunken moment of leisure, has finally fully appreciated just how special these records are. They capture an essence of Eye-Q style hard german trance from 1995 and not your modern 140 BPM bumpers, but full on 155 BPM throbbing bass heavy hard trance. Melancholy melodies mixed with hardstyle basses and trippy lead noises to bring an unimaginable depth to these works of art. This is the beginning of a new scene for the UK, as we at Redemption Distribution are the only company in the world to be releasing this style of music currently. As the rest of the world catches on, watch this sound take a serious foothold on the underground. You heard it here first.
RAVE REVIEWS
Recently for our Rave series we've had some wicked reviews in I-DJ, TTR Magazine and a few websites as well with Danny Slade + Jon The Baptist + Louk bigging up our tunes...
UNKNOWN - "Rave 5 (Enter The Dark Room / Paranoia X)" This one is a bit of a mystery tune as there as the artist is unknown and the only clue in the title is about its Genre, but that’s misleading because its hard-trance which isn’t a sound normally associated with raves. All of this is inconsequential though as its well tasty. Especially the b side, which is relentless. 4/5 Danny Slade (I-DJ)
UNKNOWN - "Rave 6 (Datastorm / GTO)" Rave is a new label dedicated to remixing old hard trance classics in today's style. With the a-side being a hardstyle reworking, the b-side is definitely the one for me. The subtle feel which is given off from the chords of the original really gives the track some great depth. I can't for the life of me think which track this is a remix of, but it's definitely recognisable. I can imagine the track working well as a filler amonst the big room tunes. 7/10 Jon The Baptist (TTR MAGAZINE)
NOSTRUM - "Monastery (Remix) / Dance 2 Trance" The latest in a trend of whites from the ever mysterious Rave records reworks the legendary Nostrum classic. One would think this was named after the Torquay haven but I'm guessing not. Anyway, this remix basically takes the Original and injects some red bull into it with a strong kick and tough bassline that works wonders. The riff is there in it's glory too and this is top notch! 8/10 Louk (TTR MAGAZINE)
UNKNOWN - "Who Is Elvis (Remix)" Reworking the classic Phenomania track from years gone by, this white from the ubiquitous Rave series is an extreme hard trancer. Like the previous releases in the series the track itself is quite memorable (featuring a cheeky sample of Elvis himself) and has already had airings at events such as Hindsight, Technology and at Eyecon across the UK. A Reasonable effort. 7/10 Louk (TTR MAGAZINE)
DELETIONS:
In an effort to keep our catalogue at the absolute forefront of worldwide dance music, we are today announcing the deletion of a few catalogue items, a couple of them are to be re cut and re released in full effect in the new year. But until then, they plus a couple of others will be disappearing out of view. We are therefore confident that anything in our warehouse from Summer, Autumn and Winter releases is absolutely ballbreaking in its underground power. Remember Redemption Distribution is the only Distribution Company in the World that is solely concerned with releasing hands in the air underground house (for house read Hard Dance, Trance, Hardstyle, Techno, Hardcore and the occasional killer bit of cheese)
TO BE DELETED: FIDGET 8 - Barry Diston - "Genesis / Do You Remember" RAVE 7 - Unknown - "The Jayenne" RAVE 1 - Reyes - "Fuck You"
EVERYBODYS GAGGING FOR LOOPS N TINGS:
Judge Jules championed the Loops N Kicks bootie all summer and Bhaskar Dandona personally witnessed 10,000 people at One Big Weekend in Birmingham go ballistic to it (as it was the tune of the night). Since then limited promos have been released and very quickly sold out, again the phones have not stopped ringing, we've had JFK, Alex Kidd, Tom Costelloe and numerous others begging us for copies. Unfortunately there is neither hide nor hair of the mysterious bunch behind this and at the moment it looks like copies will never reappear, so whoever you are, wherever you are God Damnit please press some more of this record.
DJ QUOTES ON RECENT MAILOUTS:

UK44 GOLD SERIES 1 - Unknown - "Black Arrows"
- DJ DENY (Claires / Pilgrimage / Lemon Grove) - "The remix is little more than a pitched-up version with some necessary changes made for the 170ish bpm it runs at. Both will go down a treat in the right place. 8/10" - LOUK (Twenty4-Seven / TTR Magazine) "The original is quality, nice and fast energetic hard trance. 8/10" - BHASKAR DANDONA - "The Jury is out on whether the remix or the original is the strongest and I am playing the remix earlier in the night, if the crowd are properly up for it they are getting the original rammed down their necks at the end of the night. Big riff mayhem from the man like M-Zone 8.5/10"
We are still awaiting the reactions from other big names. If you would like to apply for a place on our mailing list please send your details to promos@redemption.co.uk
