One of Anjunabeats' Christmas / New Year offerings is the latest track from P.O.S. It goes by the name of 'Gravity' and has been generating a lot of interest among trancelovers out there...
:: P.O.S. - Gravity :: Anjunabeats :: ANJ039
A: Original Mix You can tell a lot about this track just from looking at the vinyl. You can see it is split into 4 distinct sections, which may turn some people off right away but do not judge so quickly upon this one. The first section is an introductory one - we hear a creeping build up of beats, springy bass, layers of percussion and some long and gentle piano chords. Very chilled, very nice. The middle section is a very long breakdown. The piano element becomes stronger with melodies creeping in along with the chords. Soothing female voices accompany a long and massive build of superb synth strings. The third section is the 'main' section, for want of a better word. Here everything is united - the voices, the inspiring piano and the soaring strings. They create a wonderful sound. The final section is a simple and easy going wind down towards the end. A quality track.
B: Arksun Remix The remix by Arksun sports a very long ambient introduction. It features gentle ambient synths, the calm female vocals and then a bass driven section before the main beat arrives on the scene. Definitely useful for the start of an epic set. When the beat does come in, the track is driven by the active bass thats instantly noticeable. Some spooky synths play some small melodic parts to bring on the quiet and calm breakdown. Again its time for more soft and gentle ambience then the track transforms into something more - while still deep, a much greater melodic essence is introduced and blended in. Overall this track is a total trance journey of smooth, pure and calming sounds.
Conclusion:
Two mixes of a splendid track! The Original Mix of 'Gravity' is beautiful and melodic while the remix by Arksun will cleanse your very soul.
