Excellent Trance Record and with a Green Court remix its definately worth checking out
With the Cosmic Gate inerview going up there has been some talk about Green Court remixes which is why I decided to review this record which has been in my posession for just over a week now.
This record is released on "Digidance" and has the following tracks:
A1: Heaven - Green Court Remix B1: Heaven - Simon and Shaker Remix A2: Heaven - SNY Extended B2: Heaven - Anastasia Remix
A1: Heaven - Green Court Remix This mix is by far my favourite. Green Court remixes are always of the best quality. This is a very nice tune indeed. Its not quite hard trance, I would say a bit on the borderline of uplifting and hard. It starts off just like just any other track... nice beat. The first breakdown is very nice, good melody with the synthy sounds with some added vocals. Sounds really nice and a little uplifting then not a bad buildup before it bangs in! The vocals sound really good and I can't help but think I have heard her somewhere before. The melody is quite catchy indeed and I soon found myself whistling with it without noticing. lol
B1: Heaven - Simon and Shaker Remix This is quite different than the Greencourt remix. The vocals are different in this and they don't quite sound quite so good. The melody is also pretty mcuh different, using a completely different sound, its not brilliant. This is more towards progressive Trance and I'm not really much for it.
A2: Heaven - SNY Extended The pace to this one is quite a lot slower than the mixes on the first side. The melody is just as the Greencourt mix and very nice. I would say this is more of a 'pop' version, a little cheesy. There are a lot more to the vocals in this one. They were very limited in the other mixes but have been used to the full in this one. Better than the Simon and Shaker mix but not as good as the Greencourt one.
B2: Heaven - Anastasia Remix This mix is slightly more 'Trancy' than the others. Anastasia have actually done quite a good remix here. They have managed to change the melody slightly but kept its appeal. Its more uplifting than the Greencourt mix. Not quite as good tho. All depends upon what you prefer I guess. The vocals have been preserved nicely and sound really good during the breakdown. But the buildup could have been a lot better, it kinda lets this track down a little.
Conclusion This is one of my favourite records at the moment. I tend to pick it up quite a lot. If your a fan of Greencourt remixes then you will definately love this and I reccommend buying it.
