The latest release on this Spanish label is from Raoul Neros and is called 'Impacto'. Expect some techy edged trance with a twist as Nenes steps up to provide a tribe-tech mix of his own...
The Raoul Neros project is a new collaboration between Nenes, who was behind 'Turbulence' on the RR imprint last year, and new and upcoming producer Robert Burns.

A1: Impacto (Original Mix) The Original Mix of Impacto makes a good first impression during the opening sections - nicely paced with some active gritty synths jittering quickly along to the beat and several layers of deep and driving bass. The bass is one of the nice elements here - because of the two or three different elements working together with slightly different sounds you end up with a thick layer of deep bass pushing out from beneath the track and driving things forward. The track is rather progressive in form and eventually a stabbing lead develops and takes the reigns. Quite similar to Ron van den beuken's style but without the harsh cutting edge to the sound. The stabs of synth also follow a gently melodic pattern and the changes provide something to keep listening out for instead of hearing the same note over and over. Overall a solid and driving techy piece, with the feeling of a nice smooth finish to it.
B1: Impacto (Nenes' Tribe Tech Mix) Nenes' remix, as its name suggests, takes from tribal influences and these are mostly apparent in the percussion. The kick is standard and fairly strong but the tribal element shows in the percussive top end with a medley of tappy, shakey and punchy sounds being played. The Tribe Tech Mix isn't as driving as the original - the bass isn't as thick and it takes an overall easier approach. The stabbing synths are still in place, maybe this time with a bit more of a crispy edge to their sound. Theres also an extra and similar synth which quickly stabs out a rhythm. Its sound is harsher and more abrupt, contrasting with the relatively gentler lead synth. Other than that, on a very progressive note, you get more of the same until the track nears its end.
Conclusion:
Both mixes of 'Impacto' are solid pieces of techy edged trance, taking influences from a variety of sources. The Original Mix is my favourite, and I think that one is most likely to see more action on a dance floor because of its thick, driving bass and techy synth lead.
