Read on for the latest release info from the hard dance label Re-Charge...
Recharge are ready to unleash their first release of 2005 with a double A side release of cutting edge hard dance from label favourites Simon Eve & DMF.
Simon Eve & DMF A. Technology AA. Take A Chance On Yourself 12 CHARGE 028 Out: February 28th
Recharge favourites Simon Eve & DMF provide a double dosage of cutting edge hard dance on the first Recharge release of 2005. Having been busy with solo tracks and remixes of late, the duo have finally set aside some time for a new collaboration project to follow up their 'Insomniac' / 'Tribalism' EP from last year, the latter getting support on the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix.
A worthy follow-up project was a tall order, but having dug deep into their box of tricks, we're confident they’ve conjured up two tracks that will set the pace in the diverse and demanding hard dance scene in 2005.
'Technology' serves up a hard hitting, techno edged groove that drops briefly into an electro influenced breakdown before colliding head on with a snarling lead riff for a real heads down, foot to the floor affair that’s already being championed by the likes of BK and Nick Sentience.
Meanwhile, 'Take A Chance On Yourself' features chunky nu-skool breaks in the intro and main breakdown before soul searching vocals pave the way for fearsome Tinrib-esque synth lines to be unleashed for the hands in the air peak. This track has already been featured on the ‘Lashed’ CD mixed by the world's #1 hard dance DJ Lisa Lashes.
Early Test Pressing feedback includes: Mixmag - #6 Tune Of The Month - "More of this please sir!" (Guffy) I-DJ - "Fast, furious with a large dose of intelligence this is a great start to the year for Recharge. More please!" (Tom Harding) Plus DJ support from Lisa Lashes, BK, Paul Glazby, Andy Farley, Pete Wardman, Justin Bourne, Simon Eve and more...
Next up on Recharge will be a debut cut from Energy UK rising star Mark Maitland... watch this space!
