A cheeky one sided piece of house from Spinnin' Records' White Label division. This one featuring vocal sections from Scorpions has no name associated with it other than 'Hurricane'...
:: ? - Hurricane :: WL :: WL025
A: Hurricane House is the order of the day here and thats what you get from the outset. Its the bassline thats responsible for the retro-house style sound - a thick and chunky bass guitar riff which the track just sits on all the way through. Right the way through the track, the Hurricane vocals carry on repeating, fuelled on addictively by the backing electric guitar riff. The few non vocal sections consist of a housey kick and percussion along with that bass guitar riff - and things really can't get any more textbook house in style really. Its a high dosage, fun-time, full on housey remix - nothing more, nothing less. The vocal and guitar samples though numerous are strangely addictive and you're almost bound to get a little groove on to it, or at least a foot tapping!
Conclusion:
Textbook house which is likely to be familiar to everyone in some way. Catchy and groovy, not a bad little whitelabel for your collection!
