Michael Splint is the Danish version of a workaholic and he has a ton of new things to talk about, including a mix for this site!!!!
Hi and welcome to this years first news letter from the Michael Splint camp.
2005 seems to take form in the right direction as we have entered the 2nd month of the year....
We (F&W and I) will start looking at Michael Splint single 3 asap. The guys have recently upgraded their studio and are now ready to rock more than they did in 2004 looking forward to spending some studio time with them again. Speaking of the guys W has announced his second home on the internet a personal website go check out www.sorenweile.com
If you are a regular visitor of my website, you will know I finished a mix cd in the middle of January now the title is in place and the release date is almost set (should be late February)
The title is: The Ultimate Trance Vol. 4 (Even if it is the 1st in the series to be mixed). It¹s a double cd with 22 tracks from the likes of: Menno De Jong, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Super8, Mike Shiver, Avanto, Rank1, Whiteroom and Alt+F4 to name a few:-)
There¹s also some unreleased goodies from Digital Blues and Jamie P Vs. Aurelius. It wouldn¹t be a Michael Splint mix cd if I didn¹t have something on there, but fear not the Tukan & Michael Splint remix of Fairlite is on there, plus 2 new tracks, of which one is exclusive for this compilation...
Remember I¹ve been talking about a track Sasja did with Peter Dafnous (aka Apollonia)?? Well, the release of "Say You¹ll Stay" has been postponed a bit, but it's all for the better. Due to the delay we were able to get Probspot back in the remixchair (he actually started a mix way back) and has now finished it and what a bomb chills down my spine! We¹ve already had some label interest (Ronski Speed played the track last week at a club in Hamburg) on this and a second remix will be made by none other than Aly & Fila!
A follow up to the first single is already in the making and remixers will be decided soon. If you haven't heard any of Peters stuff, you are in for a treat very melodic and emotional tunes, he even remixed the Falkon & Fairlite track Moonfish (which you can find on the trance cd I mentioned above)
Promotion starting next week on Barbed Wire and Sunglider: Ruffed Up! The track has one remix Swedish talent Gate 42 cooked up a slamming piece of trance (with a techy feel to it) and the track will be the first release on Strukture Records (sublabel to Inspired Records) - gonna be exciting to get the feedback returns on this track.
Some older projects have been revamped for 2005 and remixes are now being done. Seal Team 5 Innocence Is No Excuse (Giorgio Ponticelli, DJ Jazper and Nebula on this one) and Max Power - Crazy is being remixed by German producer Nino Cortez. The Max Power track is being checked out by a UK label as we speak. Check out my web for news on this as it develops.
Giorgio also remixed Falkon & Nebula Feat. Sasja So Lost, along with 2 other exciting remix names (whom shall be unknown for just a little while more)
Production work on the Kris O¹Neil "Snowflakes" has gone into the final stage. There will be some fine tuning and that should happen within the next week or two.
Finally we are putting the finishing touches on Falkon & Bjorn Feat. Sasja The Wonder of Me. This is a track we started on last year with Swedish producer Bjorn Akesson and now we are finally getting somewhere:-) No remixes has been started yet, but I¹m sure we will come up with a cool name.
DJ gigs in February sees me back in Rønde (Denmark) as Discotheque Daisy has the first trance party of the year. It¹s the 17th of February and taggin along will be the one and only DJ Choose!
Plans about future gigs are on the drawing board nothing specific yet, but I'm talking with some interesting places about getting me behind their decks. As usual you can catch me each month on Digitally Imported and the newly merged ETN.fm. (dates can always be found on my site)
This month you can also catch me on Australian radio on Saturday the 19th Rush/Nova969 (11pm-2am AEST GMT +10) (links below)
In the last news letter of the year I talked about an I:vibes exclusive mix that should be sorted for next time you recieve a news letter...
You can of course always depend on my site being updated each Monday with the latest news and a fresh top 20. If you have any thoughts on my productions or anything else you wish to communicate with me, please feel free to email me.
