Available from 24th Of February 2005
Progressive
Alex Smoke Dont See The Point EP - (Soma) Very Deep and dark proggy with excellent tech-scapes, following the excellent 'Simple Things' EP. This is nice, good old fashioned Prog, fused with splashes of Techno.Very cool and well worth a spin. Especially in those early hours! ***
Kosmas Epsilon Architech EP - (Precinct) Very Nice from the man going places! The very talented Kosmas Epsilon does it again. If you like your creations up there with Lieb or Jan Driver, you can't go wrong here. Real dark, but very clever production make this a must for prog fans. From The Sky is real production masterglass. Get this one quick! *****
Colakion / Farthers Of Sound Serious Music / Black Music Inside - (Mantra Vibes) Serious Music is very infectious with an amazing bassline to drive you. It's Subtle and deep with great stabs.Alex Dolby producers the slow, uninteresting B side remix of Black Music Inside. Quality A side mind ***
Sasha Carassi The Break Cuts Of Black Mamba EP - (Mantra Breaks) The second Mantra Breaks record in the line up. Here is real Block rocking beats in Da Clubs. Funkastible and Robotika is non stop strangeness from start to finish. Very Average prog/breaks stuff *
Marris Knowledge & Happiness - (Nascent) Real Smart record here! With excellent percussion, excellent production, lovely little vocal touches and a wick remix from Bart Van Wissen. As cheeseless as the moon, this is a blinding production. Anyone who likes there James Holden should give this record a go! *****
DJ Ruby Pure Stimulation - (F2) Solid and almost trancey dream progs here. San on the A produces a slamming version whilst Sebastian Moore's fanastic, deep techno style breaks remix on the B is different, original and a joy to listen to. Nice record this. ****
Trance
Vivid Love Again - (Offshore) Dark and Hard! It's got to be Darkmoon. What a remix, what a Tune. This is excellent trance on the A with a more dreamy, clean original for set closing on the B. My Record of this Update, with to amazing sides. Both fitting even mood and slotting in beautify GO AND GET IT!! *****
Karada Walking On The Moon - (Kyr) One of the most underrated Labels from Holland, supplies a a strange tune here. The Club trancer with remix by Genix on the A, is high quality in sound but a little flat in energy. Whilst the B side is just strange. Worth a listen for fans of Neo & Farinas. A side only. ***
Haak Bedlam / Outsider (Club Elite)
Mike with his latest Haak release on his own Label Club Elite! Bedlam is dark, twisted and multilayered fun for all. Great for middle areas of sets. Whilst Outsider has real nods to Der Schieber in sound and atmosphere. For me, the A side here is pure class! Higherly recommend to Push/Plastic Boy fans. ****
Marcel Woods vs Jesselyn Flora/Fauna - (Silicon) Not your normal Silcon release. Bangin tunes! Hard drums and strange main sequences. I loved these tracks for being so completely outragous! Flora is a wonderful piece of Strange Trance/Techno and is easily on a par with Mauro Picotto in his hey day! This is brilliant. ****
DJ Bob Ltd vs Mr Ocean 2 The Groove - (Clubb box) Dr Bounce (??) on the A side comes up with a highy go lucky tune here. There is nothing to get excited about but at least it's got a nice party vibe. A bit popish on both sides, With an overall Vengaboys feel. But one for the zany and Happy Hardcore crew! Aye! **
Alucard pres The 49th Line Blue On Blue RMX - (Somatic White) Octagen A side remix has really drive and can move any party dance floor. Whilst Hydroid's B side Mix is truely beautiful music. Oh you can feel the tears welling in the eyes for this one clubbers! So Highly recommended. (Good one Ian!! lol) *****
Hennes & Cold Born Blind - (Tracid Traxx) The awesome Tracid Traxx never shy's away from hard tunes. Here we have 2 examples. If you love Tracid and co, you will love this. The A side, Born Blind is average okay, but the B side brings in a Massive Dumonde style sound. Hard Trance/Rave lovers flock for this one! B (First Session) is deadly! ***
George Hales Isolation - (Lange) Ah! Now this is trance. The A side to George Hales' Isolation is real 99 style stuff. A beautiful Euphoric trancer that should get support from everyone, just because it sounds that nice. A wonderful cross plent of Armin/Lange and F Corsten. This is a Must! Plus there is a different but truely interesting Soliquid Remix on the flip. But the A is where it's at! Magic! *****
