REDEMPTION DISTRIBUTION UPDATE

Hello again, hope you are well, here is an update from us at Redemption HQ about our current releases and all things forthcoming.

DIVINITY REACHING THE KITCHEN OF GOD

We are ecstatic to report that rising wonder JS Ten's new track Divinity has had massive DJ support. First off, it was played on Galaxy FM by Paul Kershaw who had the first copy (to a radio audience bigger than the size of Radio 1 for Birmingham and surrounding areas!), and then even better having a second play by Mark Eteson following on from the worlds number one DJ Tiesto at Godskitchen. Even more, this was played to 1,500 up for it Birmingham clubbers and it was alledgedly the only tune asked about throughout all of Marks set!!! Phwooaarrrr...!

GRAHAM GOLD LOVING INSPIRED!

Trance Veteran (and all round nice bloke!) Graham Gold has recently reviewed the New Talent Volume 3 for Colchester label Inspired and has given it a rocking review on massive website www.gurn.net! Which we are well happy about!

'This Clacton based label set out to release music from unsigned artists and they are on a roll. Already kicking up a storm is the excellent ”Seashore” from Algarve (amongst others) with it’s Sturmkraft remix which is one of the monikers used by Eric Lidstorm. His own release has the hats & ride high in the mix tech style with a nice eerie horn pad giving way to a deep rolling bass line. Beautiful strings and pads abound all the way to the carefully constructed drop. Stand by for big chord progressions and a really nagging and memorable lead line. Top stuff. Norwegian Krister (well the name pretty much gives it away!) comes up with something dead opposite. Distorted acid and fucked up detuned riffs drive this home till the breakdown which surprisingly uses a fairly common Nord esque sound to take over the helm. But it works! Then the acid comes back, and it’s all mayhem. Different but strong. My only criticism is that he doesn’t allow anything to breathe, and it could do with being a bit emptier, especially at the end, as the mixout point is pretty non-existent!! 8/10' Graham Gold

FIDGET HARD RAVE REVIEWS

On leading UK website Harderfaster.net, the UK's nutcase Matt Smallwood has given the amazing Barry Diston + Steve Gillen - "Down And Dirty" (on Fidget Hard) a rather pleasing review! Nice one Matty.

'Here we have the next instalment on the Fidget Hard imprint, the output for some serious Hard House from Fidget head honcho, Barry Diston. In this case Barry teams up with Steve Gillen, for a galloping, relentless stompathon of a track! A nice crisp kick and some nice little loops in the intro beef the track up making it nice and full in the mix, before the throbbing off-beat bassline comes in. The ‘Down ‘n’ Dirty’ vocal is very appropriate for this track as it does exactly what it says on the tin, and is used well in the intro. The guys have used a wicked dirty synth line and this is brought in bit by bit to create the feeling of progression and also works well. As we enter the breakdown things turn quite dark and sinister with some eery pads and the full synth line is introduced. It’s very catchy, and I can imagine it sounds awesome on a big system, a real rumbler! Wicked build up here, they really build up the vibes nicely before an awesome filtered drum fill, and we’re back in business as the track takes the roof off! We’re treated to a few nice key changes after the break which keeps things interesting too. All in all a great Hard House track that’ll have the cleaners scraping you off the ceiling after you’ve heard it! Looking forward to hearing this one out! Nice work!' 8/10 Matt Smallwood

PRESS REVIEWS

Techno Legend Mark EG has recently given this monstrous slab of hard hitting techno an amazing review in M8 magazine. Unfortunately at the time of writing a copy is not at hand to type up but on our next newsletter you can be assured that the review will be displayed in full glory.

Alongside this, Tom Harding (Holland's No 1 DJ!) has reviewed both our latest Fidget Hard release and the Song 2 remix and given them both rocking reviews too stating that they are both 'bloody brilliant!', which is a compliment if ever we have heard one!

DJ VORNY CREATING QUITE A STIR ON FORUMS

Northern Producer and DJ Vorny's recent Hard Drug Abuse EP on our prolific UK 44 Gold label has been causing upheaval on the Blackout Audio internet forum. With a massive amount of users supporting the track and saying how good it is, this is really
good news for UK 44, DJ Vorny and Redemption HQ!

RECENT DJ REACTIONS:

GLOBE WARMER 001 - Sebastian Marx - "Jack K" [Globe Warmer]

DJ CHOOSE [Club Gorgeous (DK)/F+w Records] "This release is HOT ! All the tunes rock but especially "The chase" is smoking ! Three radio plays so far and several plays in my club sets of late. 9/10"

INSPIRED 4 - Progresia feat San Andreas - "California" [Inspired]

DJ CHOOSE [Club Gorgeous (DK)/F+w Records] "Finally a tune which stands out from all the other trance tunes around. I like the melody in this tune a lot. The remix is quite good but the original version is the one for me. Two radio plays so far and several plays in various clubs. 8/10"

PLANET ZOGG 2 - Big Ben - "Exit Light" [Planet Zogg]

DJ CHOOSE [Club Gorgeous (DK)/F+w Records] "A nice pumping release. Both tunes are usefull for me and I will play this record in the clubs. 7/10"

MALCOLM MCDONALD[Lochbroom FM] - "Another cracker(even if I`m biased as a Metallica fan) dark and brooding with great use of the sample, b side works well too 9/10 (chart and loads of plays)"

UNKNOWN - Brass Monkeys - "Song 2" [W/L]

DJ CHOOSE [Club Gorgeous (DK)/F+w Records] "One radio play already and definitely more to come. 7/10"
DJ DALEY [Short Circuit / Flashpoint] "Top chunky tackle, lovely warm up vibe in the box!"

XXVXX - Unknown - "The Second Trap" [W/L]

MALCOLM MCDONALD [Lochbroom FM] - "This was my favourite of them all, is it something to do with an old track called `Illuminate`? Its not often you get a tune that as soon as its finished you have to listen to it again, an easy 10/10 No.2 in the chart and prime spot in every set.2"

UK44-2 - DJ Vorny - "Hard Drug Abuse" [UK 44 Gold]

CALLY + JUICE [Bionic + Breathe] - "M-Zone resurrects his UK44 imprint with a 'Hard' version of the Label to cater for the Hardstylers out there!" No 8 in chart!
DJ TRUBASS [Subsonica / Cornish Underground] - "This tune has all it needs to classify itself as a great hardstyle track.
With cross gabber influences after the middle breakdown, there is plenty of energy wrapped up inside the tune to drive the dance floor crazy. 7/10"
