A new label has started, with some much hyped progressive fanfare, check out why?
Beaumont Presents Elevon – Drop Zero (Winds West Recordings)
This is the first release from the Winds West Recordings label, which features two guys, one named Beaumont and the other named Nathanial. They want their releases to have that night and day feel to them and they want to push some unique sounds. So their first release is Beaumont presents Elevon called Drop Zero.

Side A – Original Mix Side B – Arfloteba Mix
Side A – Original Mix
This is a beautiful progressive record from whoever Beaumont is; this record uses a solid bassline but uses this absolutely beautiful melody that is almost one that takes you instantly away. That’s the point of music, to take you places where you can’t physically go. This reminds me of Sander Kleinenberg’s Buenos Aires at times because of the careful melody. I’m not sure how this melody was crafted but it is awe-inspiring and it makes this record special. I’m sure if this got into the hands of some progressive jocks, beauty in motion would occur. The track is a little long but the melody makes up for any bad taste that you might get from anything. The breakdown is even lusher here, that’s when the melody is at its best. This record is simply beautiful and it takes me back to when progressive was not boring or too much of the same.
Side B - Afrloteba Mix
The flipside to their first record is the Arfloteba Mix, I don’t know much about it either. The Arfloteba mix is very different; it goes for more of a harmonic direction compared to the melodic original mix. The best part is a harmonic melody that it uses; the melody is quite similar in certain respects to the original but very different in a lot of other ways. I like the harmony here but the original mix is what’s you want to go for immediately.
Conclusion:
I have no clue who Beaumont is but if he keeps making records like this, look out. A very solid first record with the original mix being the one that you want to check out. Watch out for West Wind Recordings, if they keep making records like this one
