The always innovative Herbalizer drops their new album, check out the video to the first single!
Imagine, if you please, a crack unit of army drop-outs, institutionalised, dislocated from their surroundings and generally fucked in the head, and then let out on day release to devastate a city near you. That, my friends, is the Generals, a full-rhymer tag team who make up for what they lack in sanity with pure chops. The mastermind behind this explosion of dysfunctional rhyme armament? It was long-time Herbaliser collaborator Jean Grae who decided to bust out a group of frontline MC soldiers from right across the USA and bring them together to cause mayhem. The Herbaliser have captured the essence of this madness and set it to music. Horn fanfares, machine gun drum fills, strings played on razor wire. 'The Generals' is the first course from an album that promises to bite back..."Take London!" It's an album that shows that the Herbaliser have lost none of their appetite for the fray, or for the constant self-improvement which has made them one of the UK's most consistent hip hop production teams of the last decade.
