DJ Vadim's side project is back with another single after the huge buzz of their first single called "Be Your Own". As usual, clips and video included
One Self - 'Bluebird'
One Self are back and this time they're flying! The trio consisting of Yarah Bravo, Blu Rum and DJ Vadim have already generated a considerable buzz with their first single, "Be Your Own". But that was just a warm up compared to the cooled out boombappery of the truly magnificent "Bluebird", the latest release from the forthcoming album, 'Children of Possibility'. With a twiddled guitar loop, perfect bass stabs and the kind of rock solid beat that Vadim has made his own, the Russian Percussionist builds the perfect platform for Yarah and Blurum to trade witty, clever, melodic raps. In the Native Tongues tradition of conscious, fun and, crucially, funky hip hop, this summery slice of rap should keep the underground happy whilst simultaneously igniting the passions of Kanye fans and even having the B.E.P. fraternity raising their lighters! Also available is a version from The Bee's released on 7" and delivering something only The Bees can. Released 30th May. www.one-self.net
