A new label arises, set up by three well-known producers from Germany. Their first release brings us a full-on trancer with a Mind One remix included in the package... Let's find out what it's like!

Breeze Records was set up during the summer of 2004 by Christian Stein, Tuno Hufeld (together forming Dark Moon) and Matthias Max (Mind One). Their aim is to bring us trance lovers the best in fresh & uplifting tracks, made by upcoming and already settled producers. As you can see, this first release is being brought to us by André Visior and Dark Moon, being backed by a remix by co-labelowner Mind One. André has already released lots of succesful tracks, with his most recent one being a production on Ligaya called A.C. - 'Estatica'. Dark Moon is known for releases like 'Hear Me Calling' and 'The Prayer', while we all know Mind One from his bombs 'Star For Me' and 'Only Memories'.

A-side: Mind One Loopback Mix
This one starts off vigorously with a sharp, pounding kickdrum and some tight backing elements. Bringing in a mixture of FX, percussion and building synths, it builds and builds with a lot of variety and some really cool up and down going introductive melodies. A not too noticeable, yet very well working bassline ignites itself in between the other sounds, making the overall build a nice and full journey. The production itself also sounds very clean and crispy, especially when the smooth breakdown enters in. Chilled out backing strings and a warm melody with a lot of feeling in it are what's being served here mostly, together making this a truly nice experience. While you would think the melody would be built out here to create an uplifting trancer, something totally different happens: slight hints to the main percussion are being given away first, enabling the track to burst loose with an amazing techy feel during the climax! All that's being used is a repetitive synth playing a simple melody, but it all works out so good because of the crafty blend of both percussion and bassline. A corker of a remix!
Rating: 8/10

B-side: Original Mix
Time for el original! The overall drive in this track differs alot from what we heard in the remix: the kick sounds somewhat harder, and the basslines are more present because of the huge amount of energy they create. Lots of neat FX are being dropped in and out every now and then, being accompanied by a building, darkish sounding synth at a particular moment. A mini-break serves as a nice mid-track tension builder, enabling the dark synth to build itself out to a wonderfully powerful weapon during the build-up. While the energy already burst out of the build, the breakdown definitely knows how to work on your senses as well! Bassy synths and the melody we heard in the remix as well start to hype up the tracks overall feel, energizing themselves more and more just until everything comes to a small stop, then to bang in again in full force! With the full riff playing now, you can hear that this will generate great reactions on the floors. A second climatic part has been built in as well, this time being preceded by a nice breakbeaty portion. An inventive piece of uplifting trance!
Rating: 8/10

Conclusion:
This is definitely a more than worthy first release on this new label. The Mind One Loopback mix takes on a different approach to the original by using a nice contrast in the break and climax, while the original uses an amazing array of basslines, low synths and the well worked out warm melody. Quality stuff!
