Releasing a lot lately under various different aliases, E-Craig brings his latest to Reset Records. This one is 'Call It A Day' and its already being snapped up by all the big trance names right now...!
:: E-Craig - Call It A Day :: Reset Records :: RS012
A: Call It A Day (212 P.M. Mix) Starting simple, this track keeps itself to itself before unleashing a torrent of pumping beats. This strong intro is broken up by a quiet section containing that wonderful ultra-summery soft synth that everyone will recognise. The beats kick back in and you have an immense sound! E-Craig has really embraced this sound and style - his remix of Blank & Jones' 'Perfect Silence' is a testament to that. The long breakdown drops all beats and percussion and really focuses on and develops that awesome summery synth. A buildup lead by stabs of techy synth follows and carries on playing as the track erupts into its full on form. Woooah! What an AWESOME sound. You just have to hear and experience this track! Get it now!
AA: Call It A Day (212 A.M. Mix) Again this remix is one that follows the sound and structure of its A-side counterpart. This one takes on a more gentle, trancey feeling. The beats are softer and just stroll along nicely instead of pumping the track forward rigorously as is the same with the bassline. That great summery sounding synth is still here, as is the long and calming breakdown. When the track drops back in, the stark sounding techy synth isn't used but the bass thickens up slightly and some long, smooth pads are used to fill in instead. Another awesome track, just a lot smoother and calmer.
Conclusion:
What a quality record! Both tracks are just great, both carrying such a fantastic sound! Whether trance or tech trance is your thing, you need this record!
