Ian Betts returns again this month with pushing his newest track called Shimmer, the next releases on his label including that Elude track and other things.
Yes it's that time of the month again already, so here's a quick update on what Ian's up to this month....
Ian has been confirmed to play a 2nd date in Ibiza this summer - he will headline HeatUK's biggest party on the white isle this year, on Tuesday 28th June at Summum in San Antonio. Ian will line-up alongside the likes of Dance Valley's JP and Steve Blake on the night. For more information go to www.heatuk.com.
Ian will also be appearing as a special guest on Gavyn Mytchel's Gallery Radio Show on Ministry of Sound radio on the 22nd July. Ian will be having a chat with Gavyn live in the studio as well as playing a few tunes from out of his record box. Ian's appearance on the show will tie-in with his gig later that night at the Gallery itself, where he will make his debut playig the closing set of the night. For more informaton go to http://www.turnmills.co.uk/gallery and www.ministryofsound.com/radio.
Tickets for Ian's big three gigs of the summer, Cream in Ibiza, South West Four and Dance Valley are selling out fast - for more information and details of how to purchase the tickets click on www.heatuk.com or www.radicalescapes.com.
Ian has been busy this month working in the studio on a remix of Kuffdam & Plant's new track "Skyline", the duo's long awaited follow-up to the PVD favourite 'Summer Dream'. Due to be the third release on Ian's Six:Thirty label at the end of July, Ian will be roadtesting both the Original Mix and his remix over the next few weeks. Following on from this, Ian will also be remixing the 4th release on the label, Elude's soon-to-be-masive "Purgatory" - Ian gave the Original Mix it's first spin whilst recently on tour in Australia and will be ready to unleash his monster of a remix in the next few weeks!
The reaction to Ian's latest release, 'Shimmer', has been growing at rocket pace! Already in the box of Armin and Jon O'Bir, the release has been playlisted by Paul Moelands, Menno De Jong, Big Al (played 6 weeks running on Vibe FM!), DJ Choose, Marcos, Solar Stone and Mark Sherry amongst others. The release has also got a 4 out of 5 review in DJ Magazine from ATCR label boss Tim Stark. Calling the Original a "no-nonsense peak-time floor stormer", the release is hailed as a "winner"! The track has also been made exclusively available through DJ Magazine's download site http://www.djdownloads.com. And if that wasn't enough the track has broken into the DMC World Trance Chart at #22 - not bad considering that it's only been released on limited CDR promo so far.....
The new Tidy Euphoria CD featuring Ian's track with Matt Williams, "Koinomia", will be in the shops from next Monday. For more information and audio clips of the tracks, go to www.sixthirtyrecords.com.
