The latest offering on the ever strengthening Reset Records is a techy-come-techno release from a debut project alias. We see Macmark on remix duties so lets check this one out...!
This track is produced by a new project alias from the well-known E-Craig. A heavily techy release with some techno influences awaits you...
:: Dimitri Siliakus - Wow! :: Reset Records :: RS013
A: Wow! (Original Mix) The track introduces itself with a fairly lengthy and heavily percussive intro. You soon find it dropping you headfirst into a quality bass driven riff accompanied by raw, gritty bass synths. A driving yet almost funky sound is created. It also has a slightly menacing hint to it. This is amplified by the coarse synth that is developed which stabs sharply into the track repeatedly. This synth may well have helped influenced that tracks title because each stab does have quite a "Wow!" sense about it. "Wow!" has quite a unique sound and I can see it capturing peak time dancefloors with its strong and irresistible vibes.
AA: Wow! (Macmark Remix) Macmark has stepped up for this remix and his style is unmistakeable once the track springs into life. A thick and driving bassline dusted with grainy percussion really gets things going and will simply fuel dancers on the floors. As the track progresses, you'll hear some quite industrial sounding noises, synths and sfx, giving the track a fairly dark feeling. Add to this the sharp application of various filters and phasers at strategic points and you have a track that really grabs you.
Conclusion:
Another goal for Reset Records. The techy based groovy funkiness of the original is cool whilst the strong, addictive bass and industrial harshness from Macmark makes a great contrast on the flip. This one is out now and is definitely worth a look!
