Summer 2005 sees the launch of Alter Ego Records, a fresh and dynamic trance & progressive recordings imprint from the UK. It is independently owned and managed by DJs and producers Chris Chambers and Matt Abbott...
New launch of Alter Ego Records
The label was set up with the sole intension of delivering the highest quality signings guaranteed to rock dance floors across the globe. Productions from industry recognised producers are scheduled for release alongside track creations from some amazing undiscovered talent, in both vinyl and digital formats.
The debut release from Alter Ego Records is the widely supported 'Varekai' by Kenneth Thomas and Mike Skye aka Elevation (Armada). This progressive trance beauty is the long awaited follow up to last year's massively supported 'Preen' released on Electronic Elements. Played by many A-list DJs, 'Preen' was also featured by Pete Tong on his Essential Selection and Paul Oakenfold labelled it as his "track of the summer" after spinning it at Creamfields.
New for 2005, 'Varekai' picks up where 'Preen' left off. This track is an amazing melodic prog monster with a deep filled driving bass line. Described quite simply as a perfect slice of blended progressive trance, 'Varekai' has already been hammered by DJs such as Marco V, Markus Schulz & Jon O'Bir around the world.
Following on from their massively successful 'Alt+F4' release on Anjunabeats, the Alt+F4 boys have crafted a floor filling hands in the air trance version. Their Blue Screen Remix has caused quite a stir since Above & Beyond showcased it a few months back on their weekly Trance Around The World show on MOS radio.
This track is already signed to several compilations due out towards the end of the summer and gets an official release on the 22nd of August. Limited promotional copies will be available from Chemical Records & HTFR mid August.
Promotional Vinyl & CDRs have gained support from the following: Above & Beyond on Trance Around The World @ MOS Radio Markus Schulz on Global DJ Broadcast: "I love it... supporting it!" Matt Hardwick: "Love the track - will be supporting in the coming weeks." Jon O'Bir: "Really like this track and the remixes! Will be supporting." Goldenscan: "Peak time plays have seen this one going right off." Mike Shiver on Captured Radio: "A really great mixture of trance & progressive. The Alt+F4 Mix takes the track to a whole different level!" Riley & Durrant on Galaxy Radio: "Great Alt+F4 Remix on a nice melodic record. Some proper pure trance."
Also Support From: Marco V, Mike Koglin, Talla 2XLC, Ron van den Beuken, Super8, Les Hemstock, Smith & Pledger, DJ Precision, Manuel Le Saux, Jerry Bonham, Bobina, Andy Bagguley, Dreas, Marc West, D:Fuse, Will Holland, Ian Betts, Chris Chambers, Victor Dinaire, John Wright, Edgar V, Big Al, Guy Federman and many more....
