 After a recent hiatus of the Essential Mix Update, we are back. Find out who is on the decks of the famous Radio 1 Turntables...
The Essential Mix has been going on for the last twelve years and it still seems as strong as ever. It was started by the one and only Pete Tong and many deejays have graced the turntables over the last decade plus a few years. Here is what is coming up next (remember it is subject to change)
August 28th.2005 - Wally Lopez
The last week of August sees the return of the dark and funky man known as Wally Lopez in the last of the tenth anniversary of Radio 1 being in Ibiza. So they called it Pure Pacha, probably live from Pacha, Ibiza. Be sure to check this one out
September 4th.2005 - Murk
The first week of September and the first week back to school for some people sees the mighty duo known as Murk (Oscar G and Ralph Falcon) return with their unique and often dirty tribal sound.
September 11th.2005 - Audio Bullys
Week Two of September sees the Audio Bullys grace the decks of the Radio 1 turntables and how many tricks do they have up their sleeves? We shall see and find out
September 18th.2005 - Pendulum
Week Three of September sees the mighty drum'n'bass duo known as Pendulum with their hard take on whatever d'n'b has to offer. They released an album, a little while ago, check that out as well.
September 25th.2005 - Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso
As the leaves begin to change color and Autumn rolls in, we have the first Essential Mix for the Fall Season and who better to start this season than two guys who belong to the Swedish House Mafia that has grown in stature over the last while. Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso will bring the Swedish House sound to Radio 1
Note:The Essential Mix starts at 1am (GMT) and goes till 3am (GMT) on Sunday Morning or Saturday Night for some people. Remember as well, the deejays dates are not marked in stone. Check Radio 1 to see if anything has changed.
