 Half of Mara, owner of Choo Choo Records and the man who has done work with Anthony Pappa and Chris Scott of Lexicon Avenue tells us what's up with him and his label and other things.
Barry Gilbey is best known for his alias Mara, he was half of the duo and his wife Sara Whittaker-Gilbey was the other. He deejays, produces and runs the well respected label Choo Choo Recordings out of Sheffield, England. I:Vibes likes his style and his unique sound, so we tend to check in with him from time to time and he tells us what's new.

Choo Choo 043 has just been released and it features the Phony MCs and the man on remix duties is Peter Bailey or as they call him, "The New York Tribal King" but Danny Tenaglia and others might be offended but what is known, is that he is very good with the tribal sound. Played by Deep Dish and Erick Morillo among others.
Choo Choo 044 is doing the rounds on Promo at the moment. It features London Squeak Motif versus Hong Kong Schlong, which is an electro track and on the flip side, Pedro Delgado with a techno mix.
Choo Choo 045 has three nutters making a track, Aquabeaver is made up of Chris Scott (Lexicon Avenue), Barry Gilbey and Dmitri Boborov (quite possibly Russia's best DJ and largely unheard of in the west). Gilbey did the remix for it.
Choo Choo 046 and 047 are also coming up with 047 being a new Mara track.
