Rabbit In The Moon's label has finally done a mix compilation with unreleased tracks from RITM, Terry Francis and many others, all mixed by DJ Three. Take a look at this!
Hallucination Ltd. Presents Three – Hallucienda (System Recordings)
DJ Three aka Chris Milo has been around the American scene for sometime, it just feels like he finally got his recognition now. He was a resident in Florida for ages and he was a resident at the Legendary Twilo club in NYC. So he has now released a mix album on Hallucination, which was started by Monk and David C aka Rabbit in the Moon as a platform to release their tracks. Now DJ Three and Monk are the A/R men and this CD is the best tracks from the 2 Sublabels and the main label, all mixed up by DJ Three. Most have never been released and they are exclusive to this compilation.
1.Aphasia – Say Hello 2.Rabbit In The Moon – Timebomb (Original Mix) 3.Sycophant Slags – Dharma Fields 4.Reverse Commuter feat. Terryn Westbrook – New York To Me 5.Bob Skies – Proletriat 6.Reverse Commuter – Southern Charge 7.Terry Francis & Ricardo – Change 8.Little Mike – Back To Gravity 9.Sean Q6 – Out In The Shed 10.Sensitize – History is not Shrinking (Mount Sims Rework) 11.Q-Burns Abstract Message feat. Lisa Shaw – This Time (Grumptronix v. QBAM S25 Vocal Mix) 12.Grumptronix – Lovefix
This CD is quite different from your usual run of the mill CD because this includes lots of unreleased tracks from an underground label from NYC. You easily go through Acid House and Tech-House and Techno. It’s a little weird at the beginning but it’s a nice representative of what this label has achieved. You have Rabbit in The Moon’s brilliant and often forgotten “Timebomb”, you have Terry Francis’s “Change”, you have Sean Q6’s brilliant “Out In the Shed”. They bring you Sensitize’s “History is not Shrinking”, which is very nice and they give so many unreleased tracks, eight of twelve.
I like how this easily pushes through the genres and how this easily is a history lesson in music. Most of the tracks, I’ve never heard before and its funny that an underground label decided to do this and most of the songs are foreign to me and its unbelievable how Three manages to make it sound decent with so many genres here. It is a nice smooth mix from start to finish and all the tracks are quality and it shows that RITM really are ahead of their time
Three is a genius for being able to pull this off and look out for more of him in the future, he is really talented and this compilation just proves the point.
Conclusion:
If you are RITM fans, this is a must have and it is certainly worth checking out, the exclusive tracks are really nice and as usual DJ Three does it again.
