1) Revolver (Genix Deep Mix)
Genix has made his version of 'Revolver' into something more on the progressive side of things, relying on subtle repeating synth melodies and pert beats which keep a tight rhythmic flow to things. There is a section in the middle of the track where it sounds as if the track is about to end, but instead it winds itself back up for another run through the ambient melodic synths and easygoing bassline chord changes. I guess, as the remix title suggests, this is just a subtly performed 'deep' sounding track.
2) Revolver (Bjorn Fogelberg Remix)
Bjorn Fogelberg takes 'Revolver' in a slightly different direction. A long and ambient start eventually gives way into some really heavy beats and distinct percussive work. This track flows very much like the Genix mix with the flowing simple melodies played by the synths. However, they do take more of a trancey turn with richer sounding synths and some more action in the bass department. Theres also a whole load of sfx and some vocal snippets thrown in too for more variety. Not much difference in pace here, but definitely more of a trancey feeling.
Conclusion:
A very mellow and progressive release from KYR here. Both tracks are nice but are relatively slowly paced and might not satisfy the people out there looking for more energetic trance.
