'Podcasts' have not been around for that long but seem to be increasingly popular amongst digital music fans. Hugarian star Shane 54 is jumping on the pod casting wagon with his own exclusive podcasts.
Whether people like it MP3’s and digital media is here and its here to stay. First came the digital download stores and now comes the digital radio shows. The market for MP3 supremacy and especially MP3 players is very big business. One of the big hitters in the scene is most definitely Apple with its I-pod mp3 players and very popular i-tunes download service.
The idea of a podcast is not one to get in a muddle about. It’s essential a radio show in mp3 form that can be transferred to your digital music player. I’m sure the idea has been around for a while but Apple have moved onto it with the launch of their podcast’s which can be downloaded to their brand of mp3 players.
Shane 54 is an artist I’m sure a lot of you will be familiar with. Productions like ‘Equinox 4’, ‘Wookie’ and ‘Vampire’ to go along with his own artist album have dug him a very good reputation in many dance circles. Now he has taken to the digital arena and made available his very own podcast for those with access to them to enjoy and listen at their leisure on their mobile music players.
He is one of the first Dance music related artists that I’m aware to have started their own podcast but I’m sure he won’t be the last. Many of the feeds are free and that is the case with Shane’s, you won’t need to pay a penny to subscribe.
If you’re familiar with the podcast scene the feed you need to subscribe to for Shane’s feeds is: http://laptopdj.net/podcast.xml
