© Miika Kuisma What's one of Scandinavia's finest dance music talents up to at the moment? Quite a lot by the looks of it with a brand new album in the pipeline, his first ever podcast and an army of new DJ gigs.

If it were not for that frosty and chilling place known as Scandinavia then the dance music Industry would be missing some of its finest producers, especially in the Trance market as there has been tons of quality stuff from the area. Miika Kuisma is one example of an artist from the region who keeps pumping out quality sound after sound. What's he up to at the moment?

New Album 'Sententia'

You can expect a brand new artist album from Miika this year as he has officially announced it with the title being 'Sententia. I have never heard of the word or even know what the meaning behind it is but its a word that Miika has chosen with great thought.

I'm here to announce title of my next artist album. It's going to be called.. 'Sententia'. Like previous title 'Inwardgaze' this one also has lot of meaning behind it. If I would try to explain exactly why I'm calling my album Sententia I would have to write a little book. But basically it's a Latin word and translates: sentiment, opinion, decision, saying, thought, way of thinking, meaning, purpose, thought, meaning purpose'

One idea he has had for the album is the format. As everybody knows the standard compact disc holds at most 78 minutes of music. Miika has come up with an idea to produce 12 tracks for the album and with each track increasing in length by one minute. I don%'t know of any albums that have that format. The style of the album should be bright and positive. The album is sure to be out this year but no track list of snippets have been released yet so keep your eyes on the lookout for it.

Miika's First Ever Podcast

Podcast these days are like sex, everybody's at it like rabbits. Miika will be releasing his very own podcast and join the millions that already put one out. The podcast will be a recording of his monthly radio show on Frisky radio which is broadcast on the first Tuesday of each month. if you use Apple's iTunes program to get your podcast then direct yours at Miika's podcast page to download and subscribe to his releases.

The Roundup

In other Miika news you can find his latest remix and the first he's released on Dutch Label Spinnin Recordings in record shops now. It's a remix of Sied Van Riel's latest record on the label 'Changing Places'. No doubt not his last remix to be released this year.
