 Radio 1's Essential mix has had some of the world's most talented DJ's spin over the past year and with 2005 coming to a close its time to vote for your favourite Essential Mix of the year past.
You struggle to find a name of a top line DJ who has not featured on the Essential Mix at one point or another since Radio 1 staring broadcasting the show. The show has had the cream of just about every style of dance DJ on the show. Broadcast on Sunday mornings between 1 and 3 you might be forgiven for not catching it every week.
Having had so many big name stars on the mix this year narrowing down all the possible finalist into the final ten has been a very long drawn out process full of debate. The final ten have been chosen and like them or not it's what Radio 1 has narrowed it down to be the most popular mixes this year.
The final ten in the running of taking this year's favourite essential mix are:

Voting for your favourite mix is still open on the Radio1 dance pages and should be up until the middle of this month with the results announced sometime before the new year. The winning mix will have the hounour of being played out in full on New years Eve.
