© Spinnin' RecordsJust as 2006 is dawning, Spinnin' Records are gearing up for yet another year of quality and have cracked out their first update for 2006 already...!

Spinnin' Records January 2006 Update

Aaron Smith – Dancin'
Label: SPR
Cat. #: SPR016
Released: 02-01-2006

One of the big hypes of the moment! #1 in UK's Coolcuts and Buzz Charts!

Aaron Smith - Dancin' has been played for almost half a year by world's leading house jocks like Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez etc… now it's finally pressed on vinyl including 2 excellent new remixes by Dennis Christopher. Get it now!!!

Purple Haze – Eden / Rush
Label: Oxygen Recordings
Cat. #: OX011
Released: 09-01-2006

Purple Haze a.k.a. Sander van Doorn is back with a new anthem. Sander has proved again why so many people call him one of the most talented producers / DJs around! This is his second statement under his Purple Haze guise. Is this the track of the moment? Yes it is! Currently Tiesto, Armin, Paul van Dyk, Marco V, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond and Christopher Lawrence are all hammering this tune in all of their sets.

Check out this high rated DJ Mag review:

"Tech trance diehards should already be aware of Sander van Doorn's productions, and for those not in the know… well now's the time to sit up and take note as this man is set to follow in the footsteps of the mighty Tiësto and Armin straight to the top of the trance DJ / producer elite. His latest offering comes under his Purple Haze guise and it's another supreme slab of mesmerising tech trance. Lead track 'Eden' has the groove and percussive energy of a Marco V slammer before weaving in lush pads and chords that somehow strike both uplifting and more sombre emotions all in one and are sure to send a shiver down your spine in similar fashion to his recent 'Adrenaline', whole dancefloors are fired up for the finale once the resonant synth stabs pierce through during the breakdown to send the track into overdrive. Equally impressive here is 'Rush', more of a bass heavy techno groover that's given a catchy hook courtesy of some distinctive aquatic keyboard stabs. Both tracks on this twelve are pure class - arise Sir Sander and take a bow! Rating: 5/5 (Sure Player)"

Here's the list of jocks who gave their full support: Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Christopher Lawrance, Marco V, Eddie Halliwell, Paul Oakenfold, Above & Beyond, Simon Patterson, Jon O'Bir, Remy, Blank & Jones, Mike, Thrillseekers, Smith & Pledger, Perry O'Neil, Marcel Woods, Niklas Harding, Johan Gielen, Adam White, Matt Darey, Woody van Eyden, Cosmic Gate, Adam Sheridan, Anne Savage, Precision, Fred Numf, Marc West, Graham Gold, Tim Stark, Simon Eve, GTR/Gareth Emery, Yves de Ruyter, Talla 2XLC, Andre Visior, Tillmann Uhrmacher, E-Craig, Ron van den Beuken, Misja Helsloot, Cor Fijneman, Mark Norman and Joop.

Essential stuff!!

Blank & Jones – Revealed
Label: Liquid
Cat. #: LQ056
Released: 16-01-2006

Spinnin' Records proudly presents the new Blank & Jones single, maybe one of the their best releases to date! 'Revealed' is the title of their new masterpiece and is supported for weeks in a row now by Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin and many more top jocks.

German superstar DJ's Blank & Jones don't need an introduction anymore. They belong in the top 30 of the world's best DJ's and have been producing top tunes for ages now!

Learn more about 'Revealed', check this DJ Mag & Mixmag review:

DJ Mag
"'Revealed' comes in two mixes. But the ‘Progressive Mix’ is not terribly progressive at all, but more charts the melodic territories. The early melodies of the track's hung strings give soul to its relatively deep backing track. There’s been a glut of Bono-esque vocals of late, on both prog and trance tracks, and Blank & Jones’s entry is doing as fine a job as any of them, with both song and delivery steeped in authentic sounding Gallic pathos. The 'Trance Mix' pushes the tempo very noticeably up into the high 130 BPMs, the production using thicker, more robust synths and sweeping effects to set the blood pressure racing. Smartly dubbing up the vocal in its race to the break, it then draws on a spiked distorted synth to set the right tone for the inevitable, combustible ending. Nice to see you back lads!"

Mixmag
"This is perfect early doors tackle for hard dance lovers who like pounding kicks and pokey bass lines. Blank & Jones have been doing the business for years now and their production skills are second to none. Both mixes of this mix will find their way into the CDJ so take your pick of the two; it won’t matter which you choose as they both do the job nicely. Spinnin is back with a patient tech-fizzled pounder from Blank & Jones."

Besides massive support from PvD, Tiesto, Armin, the record is heavily supported by: Above and Beyond, Jon O'Bir, Simon Eve, Matt Darey, Simon Patterson, Marc West, Andre Visior, Thrillseekers, Johan Gielen, Graham Gold, Adam Sheridan, Lange, Misja Helsloot, Adam White and many more top jocks around the globe!
