© naThe Italian master himself, played an amazing 6+ hour set with some of the most amazing, mind blowing Hard Trance and Techo at one of the UK's most famous Super Clubs... GATECRASHER!

The occasion was my 21st Birthday, so what better way to celebrate than to visit one of the UK's most famous Super Clubs! We set off for Sheffield, home of Gatecrasher, at 6.15pm and made our way to the rooms we booked at a hotel close by, at which we got ready for the big night. Once ready we set off for The Republic, Gatecrasher's venue. Since we had tickets, we went more or less straight in at about 11pm when FRANCESCO FARFA was spinning some tunes before Mauro's set which was due to start at 12.

It was quite full, and I wouldn't have expected anything less with the Italian master playing a 6 hour set. We were on the main dance floor at around 11.30 waiting for Mauro to show himself in the DJ booth. When he did show up, he was immediately spotted and cheered by the huge crowd that had assembled to listen to some of the most banging Hard Trance and Techo known to man kind!

Mauro played an amazing combination of Hard Trance and Techo including some new productions which I'm told he spun exclusively for the first time, which he had been working on previously to get ready for this night. The crowd were just going wild to the music he was blasting out at us. He played some quality well known records including some which I had never heard before which were amazing! It's always nice to hear new productions straight from the artists themselves. As an added bonus, Mauro played on till 6:45am to once again showcase a few of his new tunes. The hardcore crowd stayed on right to the end to listen and dance to these excellent tunes which are sure to be big when they're released for all to buy.

This was one of the busiest nights I have ever seen at Gatecrasher. It was a little packed down on the main dance floor but there were plenty of other places to go and dance including the second dance floor, the bridge, and numerous balcony's. But there were huge screens and TV's all around so you could see the master at work no matter where you were.

Here's a few pics for you to check out:

GATECRASHER
Theres all sorts of objects hanging around including UFO's and spikey balls!

GATECRASHER
As you can see they can be quite dangerious!

GATECRASHER
When we were on the dance floor there was a huge panic as everyone spotted some aliens coming down the stairs holding what appeared to be ray guns!

GATECRASHER
The panic was soon over when we realised they were just sent to Gatecrasher from a planet far far away to entertain us :)

GATECRASHER
Here's a few of us who went

GATECRASHER
There were loads of people dressed up and for taking this picture they gave me a lollipop :) This is quite the norm in Gatecrasher

GATECRASHER
Couple of my friends :)

GATECRASHER
A couple of random girls having a little rest after a good session on the dance floor no doubt!

GATECRASHER
Look! I we even spotted Tigger on the main dance floor, he gets everywhere he does!

GATECRASHER
People seem to like having their picture taken!

GATECRASHER
This was a very common site, everyone going mad on the dance floor to another storming tune!

GATECRASHER
It was a little wet and windy on the way back to the car.

GATECRASHER
Time to get a few hours sleep!

Thats about it for now and what a night it was! Definately one to remember. Mauro Picotto as you all know is a very talented producer and listening to over 6 hours of him spinning tunes at a top club is something else! Watch out for his next 6 hour set at Gatecrasher and make sure you get yourself some tickets! You won't be dissapointed.

I just want to say thanks to all my friends for going Gatecrasher with me on this occasion, they are an excellent bunch and I look forward to the next clubbing occasion with them all, and thanks Dave for the proof reading ;)
