The sad news reached us yesterday evening: Marc Spoon, member of the famous Trance & Dance Duo "Jam and Spoon", was found dead in his flat Monday, the 9th of January, 2006...

Marc Spoon died at the age of 39 years on monday, january 9th in his flat in the morningtime cause of an heart attack.
With Marc Spoon, the scene loses one of his most brilliant artists. With his duo "Jam and Spoon" or alone as a solo artist as well as under the name "Storm", he celebrated numerous prosperities. Among others, he released together with Jam el Mar as the duo "Jam and Spoon" in the year 1992 the Trance-Hymn "Stella", as well as "Follow me" or the international dance hit "Right in the night" in the year 1994. His Solo-He had been remixing for numerous Stars like Moby or Frankie goes to Hollywood
In the early 90s he worked for Logic Records, for the project "SNAP!". Plus, he discoverd the artist "Dr. Alban" who had a Number one hit with his song "Sing Halleluja".
The last release of Jam & Spoon was the album "Tripomatic Fairytales 3003" which was released June 2004, on which numerous big artists like Reamon-Singer Rea, Xavier Naidoo, Midge Ure and Jim Kerr of the Simple Minds can be found as vocalists.
With his work as a DJ on big events like Mayday in Dortmund, Time Warp in Mannheim or Love Parade in Berlin he attracted masses with his music.
His last public appearance was on the Dance Music Awards 2005 in Hannover as laudator.
We lament Marc Spoon, one of the most impressive artists of the international dance-scene and we express our condolence to his Family and friends
