The album itself for the most part is a trip back in time, covering a vast amount of classic tracks that rocked parties both in clubland and the world of commercial music. Some of them are true classics, others are ones that just about everyone on Earth will know due to some ultra heavy play time. The first two CDs, mixed by the rising star of Hard House, Andy Whitby are mostly the classics that 'The Very Best Of Frantic' has to offer, with some newer tracks thrown in to spice things up, like Steve Hill Vs. Technikal - Adagio For Strings and Stu Allen - A Feeling (Technikal Vox Mix). The third and final CD rushes you to the present where Anne Savage bangs out some of the favourites of the moment from the clubbingworld of Slinky. Predominantly hardhouse though it is, there are some nice techy numbers through in too such as the likes of 'Advanced' from Marcel Woods and Randy Katana's 'Play It Louder'.
Conclusion:
A lot of people may find the first two CDs of this album maybe a little bit too much 'in the past', while others will enjoy a quick revisit to times and sounds gone by. It's not all retro though, as CD3 is there to remind you what its all about.
