'Rock The DIscotheque' really does give a solid demonstration of the electro sound that seems to have been born from Funky House, House and Tech sounds. Lots of big beats and minimal, dirty leads are to be heard here. The first CD shows its dirty and funky roots before working it's way to the more underground and alternative electro styles. Towards the last 3 or 4 tracks, things get back to the funky way to finish off nicely. Track highlights include massive sought after tunes such as Mylo Feat. Freeform Five - Muscle Car, Tiga - You Gonna Want Me, The Egg - Walking Away and Dave McCullen - B*tch. The second CD is a mixup of some quite minimal and alternative tracks with some more rhythmic and melodically based tracks. It's a good combination of sounds which keeps you interested as you switch from small, minimal percussive beats to catchy vocals through to dirty, grinding, funky leads. Again there are some very highly rated tracks included here - highlights are Sebastian Ingrosso's Remix of Moby - Dream About Me, Thomas Andersson - Washing Up and Buy Now - For Sale. Finally, this cool double CD album is finished off on CD2 with a classic electro track which was way before its's time from quite a few years back: Vitalic - La Rock. A great finish to a quality set of CDs.

Conclusion:
This album is a fantastic showcase of all the best the emerging electro sound has to offer. It's tracklist is filled with top tunes which have all been tried and tested on some of the best floors out there, and thats a lot of opinions which can't be wrong. Check this one out.
