The latest CD from the UK superclub Godskitchen is an 'Anthems' album. Two CDs of pure classic trance and also a 3rd CD of some much newer material...

Take a look at the tracklisting before you judge. A plethora of quality trance from over the past 4 years or so awaits. Super caned productions are mixed up with those lesser thought of but warmly remembered tunes over 3 CDs. But, is it enough...?

Another Classics CD. I'd imagine there are some who'd switch over right now and who can blame them? There are classics albums, compilations, partys and clubnights all over the place at the moment. Anyway, look past that for a moment and get down to the music for a moment. The first two CDs here cover the classics. The tracks have been chosen well overall, I think, because as well as there being some of the more obvious candidates: 'As The Rush Comes', 'Beautiful', 'Into The Night' and 'Silence' for example there are also a lot of tracks out there that would have slipped peoples minds but still hold a special place in their hearts. CD3 rushes you back to the present day and dishes out 14 of the latest slices of trance to be found at the moment. As usual, the mixing is tight and snappy to the usual GK high standard.

Conclusion:
This is a good CD full to the brim with excellent tracks tried & tested with some fresh & new ones for good measure. However quite a lot of people will be turned off by the whole classics thing. I don't think the up to date CD3 will swing decisions, that lies in the tracklists of CD1 and CD2 - those who want this CD will buy it nonethelessa and those who don't, won't.
