 One of the Japanese masters of House and Techno delivers a couple of his best remixes to date.... Also in the works, is a collaboration with a masterful progressive duo.......
Satoshi Tomiie, one of the lesser known household names of the dance music industry since he came about in the mid-late 90s is here to dominate the world, with a number of quality remixes and productions in the pipeline.
His first remix of 2002 is that of Interflow, a progressive act from the UK, with vocalist Anna Robinson bringing in the vocal stabs. The track is titled Story Reel and contains an Original Mix as well as the funky pounding Satoshi Tomiie Remix on the flip. The track will be released on Baroque Records during the last week of March.
Second to come is the massive remix of Kosheen's "Hungry, a track which was only recently remixed by the breakbeat duo Way Out West.
The Way Out West Mix may not be released, but the Satoshi Tomiie Mix is likely to see the light of day as the Hungry LP is released sometime in the next few weeks. Funky and progressive is what Satoshi is all about, and this remix is not likely to be much different, but of pure quality.
The long awaited for collaborated release with Tarentella & Redanka of Sonic Strategy fame and of Whoop! Residency under the guise of Graffik has been delayed yet again as the track has yet to get its final touches. Word has it that this will be released during the summer, just in time for Ibiza, but this has yet to be confirmed.
