As many people know a whitelabel can be totally crap or a hot tune..it's always a surprise when you listen it for the 1st time.
This whitelabel record contains a housy bootleg of Aerosmith & Run DMC's 'Walk This Way', so let's check up from what quality this piece of vinyl is!
A1: Like This (Original Mix)
The track starts with a nice groovy house percussion, when it suddenly breaks down and introduces the famous guitarhook of Aerosmith. The guitarhook is being looped and gets support from Run DMC's vocals. This continues to a sudden point when the loop is being stopped and the track is building up again with the Run DMC vocals and scratch samples. Then the guitarloop is back again and breaks loose together with the fat beats which really should get the dancefloors on fire!
B1: Like This (Instrumental Mix)
The Instrumental Mix is just like the Original Mix, but instead of the long vocal lines of Run DMC there is only the short 'Like This' sample in it so now and then.
Without having the many vocals this instrumental mix is just some more laidback (as the vocals are very dominant) and can be better used as a track to build up a set with.
Conclusion:
The catchy guitarhook combined with cool effects and the groovy house beats should have a great impact on the dancefloor.
Definetly watch out for this one, I predict a big upcoming hit!
