A futuristic Hard Trance record Just released with elements of Uplifting Trance, very nice...
This new release from Illuminate records is something a little different from recent records released recently. It's a Very spacey Hard Trance record with some amazing synths in it. It has a distinctive futuristic sound to it. The vocals depict Earth as been destroyed in the future and we are looking for a new home, travelling through space searching for the red planet. Luckily on the way we have an excellent track to listen to from Avatar :)
Label: Illuminate Released: 31/01/2002
A1: Red Planet (Reverb's Mix) B1: Red Planet (Warp9 Remix)
A1: Red Planet (Reverb's Mix) Starts off with some futuristic electronic vocals using some nice synth sounds in the background. Then without further hesitation, the first beat comes in. The first thing I noticed was the slightly faster than average pace, its nice. This mix slowly starts to build, and it sounds superb as it does so. There's a nice combination of sound effects and synths making it sound a little futuristic. During the breakdown we hear the vocals again with some fantastic synth sounds playing a catchy melody which I soon found myself whistling. Allthough this is a hard trance record the synths make it quite uplifting too.
B1: Red Planet (Warp9 Remix) The pace of the Warp9 mix is a lot slower than the Reverb mix. Without all those synths which are in the first one, this mix is a lot less "trancy". It's still not a bad track, allthough this mix will probably be more popular with people who like progressive music.
Conclusion
A very nice release from Illusion records. This one might prove to be popular with the Hard Trance fanatics. Personally I think this track is great. Reverb's mix does it for me, its got all the qualities of a successful Hard Trance record and will be put to good use on the ole Turntables :)
