Blank & Jones' 'Revealed' gets the remix treatment from Mac Zimms, Niklas Harding and Soren Weile, and is coming at you on the distinct and varied WL imprint...
:: Blank & Jones - Revealed (The Remixes) :: WL :: WL040
A: Revealed (Mac Zimms Remix) Master of tech Mac Zimms steps up for the first of these 3 remixes. His tough and techy style is evident right from the first few introductory sections where the track jumps straight into chattering percussion and dirty, grinding bass synths. You can hear all sorts of stylistic influences here - techno, electro and tech trance. One of the most noticeable things is a stark synth which stabs some very distinct notes out regularly. It adds a really poignant feel to the track and keeps things very lively. This effect can be best felt after the fairly ambient breakdown, after which everything kicks back in to great effect. The synths stabbing and the dirty bass doing its thing will have a dancefloor moving with ease.
B1: Revealed (Niklas Harding Remix) Niklas Harding brings us a more slowly paced track in the progressive trance style, which shows off more of his production repertoire. There are many subtle elements buried within this track. At it's heart a piano plays some warm chords and there is a focus on some male vocals in the middle of the track. The best comes from the smooth blend of synths we can hear when the track has progressed to its fullest state - smooth pads in the background, melodic patterns in the foreground and also a delicate repetition played by a nifty little synth. Not the most energetic of tracks, but it's a really nice piece of music which will engross lots of trance fans out there.
B2: Revealed (Soren Weile Remix) Soren Weile provides us with a faster track in his easily recognisable and distinct style. You can hear synths poised in the background, simmering over the thick layer of energetic, rolling bass. Smooth pads come into play, building things up more and more before the breakdown where an energetic and trancey riff is developed. This powers itself up until it's unleashed with full force into the main sections of the track. This is classic Weile stuff - powerful trance simply pushing out the beats and fiery melodies which will ignite the atmosphere inside a club. Wicked!
Conclusion:
Here are some quality remixes of 'Revealed', with each remixer providing their own unique interpretation of the track, giving you a varied choice between, tech, prog or hard trance.
