The 9th release on this up and rising digital UK label is a 2-track EP produced by Dutchman Ron Verboom, with confirmed support by the likes of Tiësto, Precision and Danjo & Styles. Being featured are two trancers, so let's find out what we're dealing with here.
Total Digital have been churning out a load of releases lately, mostly produced by up and coming trance producers with great potential. A lot of their tracks are being supported by a wide array of DJ's, and with the cooperation with Bonzai / Banshee Worx that was recently initiated, things look very prosperous for this young label. The producer behind this EP is Ron Verboom, a versatile producer who's being doing the rounds for quite some time now, having released EP's and remixes back in the nineties. Now focusing on trance, he brings us two uplifting tunes...
A-side: Observing The Sky The main composition of this tune relies on deep, trancy beats, rapidly driving percussion and a very present, thick amount of wicked basslines driven onwards by subtly stabbing synth experiences and gently building elevating background chords. With more and more sets of melodies appearing during the build, a very full atmosphere ignites itself easily throughout the track's first parts. The overall sound is very crisp and clean, with a summery, almost emotive vibe glooming over it. Neatly crafted, slightly emotionally charged string interludes are being served in the break, making way for a superbly crunchy main riff playing this well worked out, sunny melody to top things off. The somewhat raw, deep bassline guides everything along nicely, bringing in a bit of a contrast which serves the tunes distinct sound in a great way. This is one wicked uplifting trancer with a definite feel-good vibe coming with it!
B-side: Technological World This one relies on a more chunky percussional approach, guided onwards by a buttery bassdrum, swift percussion and a less present yet well working bassline. Again, this superbly full sound is being let loose right from the start, mainly induced by the use of speedy synth mixtures, a gently playing, warm sounding riff and that well worked out percussional structure. The breakdown ushers in a beautiful bit of strings, soon to be accompanied by a sweeping, inventive main hook playing a slightly touching set of chords. Again, the overall atmosphere is composed of very warm, sweet sounds, backed by that dense percussion and sweepy, saily main melody. Another quality piece of elevating trance!
Conclusion:
Ron Verboom definitely knows what he's doing. The two tracks on offer here both feature very full, warm trancy sounds, using some wicked melodies and well crafted basslines. This EP will be available on all major download stores from April 4th, so go get that agenda and write it down now.
