Phunk-a-delic’s Rockin’ is one of the most popular house tracks these months. The Dutch Big & Dirty label present some new mixes, read on..!
Dj Delicious, also very known because of his hit ‘Same Man’ with Till West, is behind the Phunk-a-delic project and he seems to be on fire. Next to the original mix Big & Dirty also presents a new slammin’ Benjamin Bates remix and a Tim le El remix.
A1) Benjamin Bates Remix
Benjamin Bates is known of his original house crackers with a great amount of quality. His remix of Rockin’ also has a very ‘summerish’ vibe, just like the original, but with much more action and variety. Benjamin makes use of fast short basslines, cool effects and with help of the minimal vocals in the track he builds up to various little climaxes. In the middle of the track, where most people should the track is coming to an end, you suddenly find yourself in the middle of the break where the track is building up to groove on for another 3 minutes. A floorfiller for sure.
B1) Tim le El Remix
Tim le El’s remix is just some little more deep then the Original and Bates’ mix. Also in this mix great effects and many variety. The most recognisable thing about this mix is that it’s very bass driven which gives the from origin light sunny track a more cool electrohousy feel.
B2) Original Mix
The Original Mix has been around for some months now and is still setting several dancefloors on fire. The original use of synths and grinding basslines make the track invincible and only becomes stronger with this re-release.
Conclusion:
I predict the mixes of Rockin’ on this release will be strongly supported by many different house dj’s and especially with the Benjamin Bates Remix it seems that Rockin’ is going to be one of the most popular house tracks of the next months too.
