The big progressive Breakbeat Trance label FIRE, which has brought us Cass and Slide - Perception and many other amazing tracks comes out with this beautiful breakbeat track. The Way!
P Determan, B Gorske, J Dunne are PB and J as their names suggest were signed onto FIRE with this particular release. The vocalist Hannah Dorsey was found in a jazz lounge when the trio approached her asking if she would like to do the vocals for a track they had produced. And as you know the rest is History.
A side - Original mix
The original remix is my personal favourite on this 12". It starts off with mellow breakbeat and very catchy piano riffs followed by the vocals from Hannah Dorsey. The track continues like this until nearer the end where we are treated with a minute of pure pouding breakbeat, where Experimental and Bigbeat fuse together finishing this original mix off with a bang.
B side - Cass's Jumpers for Goal Posts Mix
The flipside remixed by Cass is a nice progressive House remix which manages quite nicely with limited vocals, nearly non at all, replaced instead by Tribal drums and a pounding bassline all packaged with some synth lines and vocal samples. The breakbeat which was heavily emphasized in the A side has also been faded out.
Overall i give this track an 8/10. The A side appealed to me more maybe becasue of Hannah's vocals and the fantastic Breakbeat. Whereas as the B side would still be great too listen to when in one of those darker moods.
