After successful previous release in Ministry of Sound's album compilation series 'Sessions' they are ready to unleash the latest edition mixed by Mark Farina.
This will be the fifth release in the Sessions series which so far has had many different styles of music released on it. Collecting mixes from some folk you may have heard and others you may have not there is something out there for everybody. Josh Wink was at the helm of the last Session release and it’s a very good album to get you hand on with some very fine techno amongst the offerings.
Onto this release by House jockey Mark Farina. He is not one half of the popular trance due Neo & Farina which would have popped into my head having not know anything about him before reading of this release. He is somewhat of a house veteran from the States and stated out pushing beats into the legendary Chicago house scene in the 80's, a time where some very excellent and creative minded music came out into the open. He has sold over 100,000 mix albums worldwide with his blend of jackin’ house beats and jazz influence in his music and mixes.
He led the way into a style know as Mushroom Jazz, which as the name suggest is nothing to do with the kind you use in your home cooking but a more mellow style of jazz which was very popular in San Francisco. What can you expect in this album though?
Two mixes of high quality jacking beats with a new style edge to the sound, deep rolling vocals but keeping that classic house sound at the core. Both superbly mixed together for your personal enjoyment at a time of your liking.
