Summer is here and so is a brand new Dj Spoke tune - tune in and check out what we at I:Vibes thought about this trance slammer!
Extended Remix Solar Corp Remix Vocal jp Mix
Lovely strings, a wonderful melody and some mediocre vocals is in brief what you have in front of you the moment you turn on this vinyl and the Extended Version kicks off. The tune starts with a buildup, all out of the book of trance, and like most of the other buildups this one is nothing special. About a minute into the track, after some vocals have appeared for the very first time, is when the tune really begins as a pair of tranquil and soft strings pops in giving the track a real summer-ish chillout vibe to it - a vibe that continues throughout the whole song. Little by little more things are added and gradually the song comes to its break and in this one you are treated to some male vocals. They change the feel and break things up a bit and they also give the tune a little bit of a cheesy feeling. I don’t really know which of the impressions that is the strongest but what I do feel is that the following melody really leads the track in a better direction. The melody is the clearest and most shining star in this version and is the one that brings the song up to the higher grade. After the big peak the track goes to get some air before it once again kicks off to a new peak and afterwards a buildown. Next one up is a remix by Solar Corp where they have chosen to abolish the vocals completely – a good choice in this version that can be seen as a very relaxing spiritual trance song where the same main melody from the Extended Remix plays. In this case the melody sounds and feels different because of the choice of effects and surroundings, which gives it a less dominating and sweeping feeling than in the previous version. Instead it sounds simple, something that often can be seen as something negative but in this case the simplicity can be seen as something great as it contributes a really soft and tranquil feeling to things! Last one out is the Vocal JP Mix and as you can figure out, they have chosen to include the vocals in this version. The track continues in the same style as the previous versions in being very chilled out and trancey and to be honest I thought for a while that this remix was a vocal version of the Solar Corp Remix. But of course it’s not and there surely are some differences. The tune as a whole is a nice trance track with a melancholic, relaxing and sentimental vibe to it giving me a feeling that only good trance can give me!
Conclusion:
What to say? DJ Spoke has given us a great piece of trance in these warm and sunny summer days. However you can have some thoughts about the worth of the vinyl with three pretty similar tracks but I shouldn’t complain too much about it as they’re three strong versions with the strongest one being the Extended version.
My final rating is a 7/10
