 A: Magma
It's hard to decide what to expect from a Menno de Jong and Leon Bolier project because of the two differing styles on offer. Menno possesses the pure trance sounds whilst Leon is more widely know for producing much techier sounding tracks, especially under his Precursor alias. Anyway, 'Magma' is overly trancey, right from the start. In fact, you'd be mistaken for thinking that this was a Jonas Steur inspired track due to the soft basses and delicate melodies involved. Here we can hear solid beats, some excellently blended together synth backing pads and a growing lead melodic element which is more hooky in nature in the run up to the breakdown. Textbook stuff here really, which is the only downside to this track. After the breakdown, a melody has been fully introduced and plays out strongly. It is a clear and pure instrument, again something else about the track which has a very 'Steur-like' feel to it. This lovely little melody coupled with the truly snappy beats in this track and great chords in the breaks will have people dancing all the way home. Top track, great effort.

 AA: Momentum
'Momentum' is quite a different affair. Perhaps Menno had a bigger say in 'Magma' and now Leon has his turn in 'Momentum'. This track is slower and more proggy. It slowly develops towards the breakdown with ghostly, mixed up vocals and a repeating chord pattern. At times, it feels a lot more like spiced up progressive house, and then later on, progressive house with a strong melody imposed on top. An interesting sound but one with limited appeal, or more limited set proliferation. A slow and groovy dancer, especially towards the end. Very intriguing indeed.

Conclusion:Another fine piece from Fundamental. The sounds that come from these two young producers when combined are very interesting. Trance lovers will go for the Menno styled piece on the A-side, whilst more progressive fans will go for the (assumedly) Leon styled piece on the flip.
