This tribal techy monster comes to you from two talented new toungsters on the scene - Divini & Warning. This one has seen support from all the big names such as Paul van Dyk, Marco V, Paul Oakenfold, Armin van Buuren and Eddie Halliwell...!
:: Divini & Warning - 4 L.B. :: Reset Special :: RSSP005
A: 4 L.B. It is said that Divini & Warning have been being tutored in the ways of production by none other than Randy Katana and this shows because you can't help but notice Katana's distinctive tribal but techy sound in this production. This minimal track is based around a totally tribal beat which is continuously chugging away in the background. The only other clearly defined element in this production is a techy synth which stabs out a rhythm cleanly and clearly. It does a great job of leading the track and allowing the chunky tribal beats to follow. More Katana style Comparisons can be made with the long and kind of ambient breakdown where some backing pads are used to soften things for a little while until the lead synth creeps back in, builds to a peak then unleashes once more as the proper fat beats kick back in alongside it.
I played this out not so long ago and a comment made by someone really summed it up - hey said it was the kind of thing you'd hear at outdoor festivals - party like, chunky tribal beats and also quite addictive. Spot on I think!
Conclusion:
A nice, chunky piece of tribal tech trance. It's not hard to spot Katana's influence but the future is looking bright for this pair of producers.
