Quest For Trance is the high-end trance compilation series brought to you by United Recordings. United is the record company that discovered the likes of Riva, Armin van Buuren, DJ Roog and Laidback Luke and are responsible for the highly acclaimed Supperclub compilation series and much more.
Quest For Trance is a compilation series mixed and compiled by the most notorious trance DJs around. Every volume contains unique tracks, unreleased mixes and if as that wasn't enough; on every volume the compilers include an exclusive remix they produced of the classic 2 Phases –'Quest for Trance' (from way back in 1993).
As you might have guessed by now, Part 2 is compiled by Riley & Durrant! Riley & Durrant are 2 of the biggest rising stars in dance music. They've been turning their hand to international radio shows, the planet's largest dance events, and producing tracks and remixes for the worlds best artists and labels.
"With this album we really wanted to showcase what we see as the new sound of trance. It’s the first time we’ve mixed a compilation CD so we wanted to try and squeeze in a wide spectrum of the worlds best new dance music.
Trance should be the feeling or state of mind that a record puts you into – so for us, this can cover a really broad range of music. In 2006 dance music has really come back together as one big community, with DJs playing much more varied sets. We can turn up to clubs anywhere in the world now and start off with some tough electro house moving into the more melodic uplifting stuff and finishing off with banging techno. Taking the people on a musical trip is what trance is all about, and we hope to have captured this on Quest For Trance."
