As one half of Groove Armada, Andy Cato really is a man who needs really very little introducing. Here he returns with a track tipped to take Ibiza by storm!

If ever there was a track to be chosen as the definitive Ibiza sound, then this would surely and duly be at the forefront of the selected few. It is absolutely magnificent, and a perfect setting to the sunsets, the beaches, the terraces and the peak time clubbing moments. Of course, nothing less would be expected from the multi-talented Andy Cato, in this rare solo outing - the man a part of legendary established groups Mother's Pride, Qattara, Weekend Players, Groove Armada - plus other aliases of his own.

 01. Andy Cato - La Luna (Main Mix)

We start with a very gentle intro - some light drums and soft percs - all very calm and relaxed. It starts to progressively build as the melody ever so subtly fades it's way in, and not before long we are introduced with a kick to accompany it. And as it continues to build we are treated to more elements of the track - some swooping atmospheric pads and a few lush piano chords. In an almost teasing fashion, it slowly starts to wind down, with some interesting stabbing synths combined with the already heavy bassline.

The journey continues, and we are reacquainted with the melody, and the awesome piano. A sudden and stunning key change later, and a coalescence of the beautiful melody, the piano, the drum pattern and the bassline all come into one, and the track really does hit its peak. Things are soon wrapped up in similar fashion to how they started, as the track slowly fades out to the familiar sounds of the gentle drums we heard at the beginning. Loving it.

 02. Andy Cato - La Luna (Dub Pass)

An ever so slightly deeper take on the Main Mix, with less attention paid on the uplifting piano synths. It is essentially just a shorter and more 'direct' version of the Main Mix, with the overall pattern and structure following suit.

Along with the Main Mix, it’s a track perfectly suited for being dropped at the pinnacle moment in a set, or just simply played whilst sat at home in the big chair listening to music on the old hi-fi. Magic.

 03. Andy Cato - La Luna (Beats)

For anyone feeling a bit daring, a handy DJ tool is provided, with a heavily stripped down version starting with just the percussion, and then finally moving on to include the kick.

Conclusion:Massive in every possible way. With a release in late May on Azuli means this track is already out. Get it.
