 To celebrate the release of his artist album Lyteo Mr Sam is calling all would be producers to have a stab at remixing his Lodestar record from the album.
Mr Sam's debut artist album has been out not for a fair while and sold pretty well from what I read. He would be most well known for his collaborations with the mighty Fred Baker before venturing out into the single artist environment.
The album has sold that well Black Hole Recordings will be releasing a special limited edition of it dubbed 'Interpretations'. This will feature all the original tracks already on the album but will feature exclusive remixes and bonus tracks. The album will also feature the winner of this remix competition.
I would be pretty sure that not only will it be featured on the album but also pressed onto the single release of the record if it is indeed released as a single. I'm sure Black Hole will be doing but even so having a remix on a Black Hole released and supported album is nothing to be sniffed at.
How To Enter
In order to make sure you get your remix in on time here's to go about it.
- Download the remix pack
- Upload your finished remix on either yousendit.com or another upload site of that kind.
- Your remix must be uploaded in 320Kbps quality.
- Entries need to be sent to either sam@mrsam.tv or mark@blackholerecordings.com
- You have until October 1st to get your remix sent in.
It's that simple. The winning remix will be selected by Mr Sam and announced on the Black Hole Recordings web site on the 10th October.
Not only will the winning remix be featured on the special edition album the winner will also receive a Black Hole record bag, records and other juicy Black Hole related stuff. Everybody is welcome to enter.
