ATCR is back!! Well, for one release only. This awesome summer surprise is none other than two new remixes from Sean Tyas of Insigma's quality trancer 'Open Our Eyes'...!
:: Insigma - Open Our Eyes :: ATCR :: TCOM043CD
Steve Helstrip (Thrillseekers) and Andy Perring (Pulser) brought the awesome 'Open Our Eyes' under their Insigma guise to us way back in 2001 and it soon became a worldwide club anthem, receiving praise from just about every possible source. Now, up and coming producer Sean Tyas has taken the original and reshaped it into some powerful remixes which are seeing plays from the best trance DJs out there - Armin, Ferry, Above & Beyond, Matt Hardwick and Andi Durrant are all hammering these new tunes.
1) Open Our Eyes (Sean Tyas 'Got Piano' Remix) The track opens with some poundingly powerful kick drums and a little bit of synth temptation which soon grows into a full on, deep and pulsating bassline. At this point, the track is really rolling along and already has a strong and full sound. Here's when the well-known synth patterns begin to play in the background, slowly gaining strength and moving into the foreground. They continue to play into the breakdown where we lose all the bass and percussion but gain some awesome pads and a whole load of beautiful trancey atmosphere. Then Sean brings in the piano. The result is sheer trance godliness. I love pianos in trance (well, in general too) but this just takes the biscuit. The kicks and bass come back in as the track kicks off again and the piano continues to play out the delicate and beautiful notes of this track's awesome melody. Another great addition, just before the final main section, is a short breakbeat passage which also features the piano, the synths and the great sounding chord changes, making sure every ounce of feeling and atmosphere is capitalised on. This is one awesome tune.
2) Open Our Eyes (Sean Tyas No Piano Remix) This remix is basically identical to the 'Got Piano' remix, except for the rather unsurprising fact that there's no piano. Instead it's like a new rendition of the original where you get to bask in the glory of the uplifting melody and the delicate chord changes from the leading synths.
Conclusion:
A stunning and unexpected release from one of the golden labels of classic, uplifting trance. The added strength Sean Tyas provides plus the beautiful piano makes this one you can't afford to miss out on.
